Snowy Creek Monochrome Monday
Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to share my las few pictures of the random snow storm we got a few weeks ago!

Snowy Creek Monochrome Monday
The weather has been really nice lately, thankfully a lot different than the random bit of snow we got a few weeks ago!
I'm for sure a fan of weather variability when it comes to where I live. I don't think I could take it mentally if it were the same temperature every day except some days were more humid than others. That's just boring to me! Lol. I guess it's because I grew up where we always had seasons?
I hope that the little man one day appreciates and looks back to some of these things with fondness the way I do. I know we are all our own different people, but I would like to think that I am raising him in a similar fashion to me. We don't have all of the same qualities but there are a lot of similarities!
With the beautiful weather we've been having lately, it certainly feels odd to post a few photos of the snow we got recently, but this is my last batch! I certainly hope, with all of the trees and things blooming and coming back to life, that we won't be expecting anymore snow, but with the weather patterns you never know!
We had a really late frost a few years ago and that was really hard. It destroyed all of the stone fruits which are cherries, grapes, peaches and some others. It's wild how important something is to a local economy and you don't realize it until it's not there. Plus, with no stone fruits, we had nothing to go out picking as a family! Damn!
Still though, with the crazy weather one of the things I enjoyed the most for sure was being able to take a little walk and snap some photos.
It isn't every day around here that you get to look at green growing grass and see it covered in snow. It's usually dead and crusty! Lol.
I loved for sure finding this random little creek along the way. This was a new spot for me to hike and the creek provided a really nice opportunity to break off the trail for a few photos close up. I love getting down and close to something for a photo, it's one of my favorite perspectives in the photographs.
Flipping these to black and white, especially the creek, was a blast. The other day I was playing around with making a little bit of customization to the black and white formula I use, which is just something that comes out of the box. When I use the different formulas, I like how it darkens some of the elements of the photo and brightens others. The mud on the left got nicely darker with this other formula which was cool!

Can you imagine living on a space station where it's always exactly 'room temperature'? You can keep the snow though, pretty sure if I never had to deal with the cold I wouldn't even notice.
Lol the same temperature all day, every day sounds boring as fuck to me!
One thing I like about the cold is it kills the bugs, especially the fucking ticks :D
I don't hate the snow, but I am glad it is gone again for a while.
LOL yeah I hear you man! It's been pissing rain here the last 2 weeks, so that's an improvement over snow this late in the season but I want some sunlight 😄
We had a great weekend and we are getting some nice sun here today. It sounds like this coming weekend is going to be pretty amazing!
