¡Hola, amigos! ¿Cómo están? Aquí de nuevo su amigo EMJA con un nuevo dibujo para Holozing. En esta ocasión, tomé a uno de sus personajes femeninos y lo transformé en una representación de algo que muchos hemos sentido: la desconexión emocional.

Hey, friends! How are you all doing? It's your friend EMJA again with a new drawing for Holozing. This time, I took one of their female characters and turned her into a representation of something many of us have felt: emotional disconnection.

No sé si les ha pasado, pero hay momentos en los que simplemente no sientes nada. Las cosas buenas y las cosas malas pasan, y la única emoción que sientes es un gran vacío. Quise aprovechar ese sentimiento para darle vida a este personaje. Como pueden ver, la chica echa la cabeza hacia atrás como si estuvieran diciéndole algo, pero tiene una mirada completamente vacía. Parece que está prestando atención, pero en realidad, no sabe qué está sintiendo ni qué debería sentir.

I don't know if you've ever experienced this, but there are moments when you simply feel nothing. Good things and bad things happen, and the only emotion you feel is a great emptiness. I wanted to capture that feeling and bring it to life in this character. As you can see, the girl is tilting her head back as if someone is talking to her, but she has a completely blank stare. She seems to be paying attention, but in reality, she doesn't know what she's feeling or what she should feel.

The Creative Process

El proceso fue bastante sencillo. Primero, busqué una pose con un toque de terror, algo un poco creepy, que encajara con la idea. El resto fue fácil. Me pasé a Krita para empezar a darle vida a la ilustración. Arreglé el line art y luego empecé a pintar.

The process was pretty straightforward. First, I looked for a pose with a touch of horror, something a little creepy, that would fit the idea. The rest was easy. I moved on to Krita to start bringing the illustration to life. I tidied up the line art and then began painting.

Lo que más me costó fue el line art del cabello; se me enredó un poco. No estoy seguro si quedó muy llamativo o no, pero espero sus comentarios para saber qué opinan. El resto del dibujo fluyó con naturalidad. Utilicé capas de personajes que ya había hecho y me encantó la combinación de la tonalidad de su piel y el color de sus ojos, que resaltan mucho al usar la capa de multiplicar, algo que siempre hago al final.

The hardest part for me was the hair's line art; it got a bit tangled. I'm not sure if it turned out very striking or not, but I'm looking forward to your comments to hear what you think. The rest of the drawing flowed naturally. I used layers from characters I had already made, and I loved the combination of her skin tone and eye color, which really stand out when using the multiply layer, which is something I always do at the end.
