Combining two legendary characters in one drawing, super Saiyan version of Wrackoo - Fan art

Hello #Holozing artists! How are you feeling? Today I'm back with a digital artwork that I've been working on for a few hours, something amazing that I've discovered during the process is that sometimes it's interesting to combine some characteristics of characters from series, movies and even other games with the holozing creatures.
If you analyzed the cover of this post well you can already deduce where I get inspirations to create my character, well without further ado I would like to welcome you to the step by step of my drawing:

First step: Combination of characters!
I doubt that you don't recognize at first glance the outfit I'm drawing, nothing more than that of the most important character in the Dragon Ball universe, "Son Goku". Well, then the combination of this character with the grass raccoon "Wrackoo" was already starting to sound epic to me from the very beginning, so I continued designing the character...

Let's just say I evolved Wrackoo to his super saiyan phase XD, with an adorable style on par with serious and ready for a legendary battle. By the way I chose to do that pose that is very common in that Manga

Step Two: Base colors
This was where I started to combine the colors of both characters, keeping the essence Wrackoo with the greenish skin tone and the orange allusive costume like the original.

The spiked-style hair would wear a more yellowish-green color, as would some swathes of her fluffy tail!

Step Three: Shadows of a Warrior
My favorite and especially the most complicated part had arrived. Then I started to put dark yellow brushes on the hair and with a water brush I changed each layer.

I made a few shadows to the outfit with the water brush obviously using the orange color.

As most characters in Dragon Ball have privileged features, I had to make a few to the raccoon, by the features I mean those marked and well-defined lines in muscles and even the face, so with the dark green brush I tried to make a well-defined and serious chin.

That fluffy tail I couldn't forget it, because I had to make a few deformed lines to give that herb style or something...

And almost to finish, I gave a sparkle to his furious eyes!

This is how my character looks at his best, but I will not sing victory until I see a good atmosphere that surrounds him.

Step Four: Transformation in the Clouds
Before moving on to the subject of the background I came up with the idea of giving that special touch to the drawing, so following the appropriate characteristics, I tried to draw the holozing logo on the suit, I hope you love that detail!

What I had in mind was to draw those incandescent flames that surround the characters in Dragon Ball when they are activating each phase. So I had to devise a strategy for it, first draw with curved lines those flames, and then fill them with the paint pot.
And the rest of the background were combinations of a clear sky with some white clouds and the character flying.

The final result you can already see it below, I really liked doing this combination, because I have already seen several posts here in the community that have implemented this technique of references and have made artistic works without a doubt.
And so today I created a version of Wrackoo in super saiyan, flying freely ready for battle...

Working tools:
