Hexagonia tenuis
A special type fungus is seen growing on the trunk tree. This fungus looks like a leaf a flat fan, and its color is a mixture of gray, brown and black. It has many circular lines on its upper part, which look like a round ring years has formed on the cut tree as a sign of age.
It is known as a type bracket fungus konak fungus. Many people in Bengali call it tree fungus. It usually grows on the trunk old dead trees and gradually rots the wood. Although this fungus is harmful the tree, it plays a very important role in the natural environment. It decomposes dead trees and mixes them with the soil, thus continuing recycling process nature.
In the background some stones and dust are seen which have grown on the trunk tree. This fungus is very hard, like wood and it is not soft when held hand. This type fungus is generally not edible and can sometimes be poisonous. Therefore, even if you are curious about these fungi, you should never touch eat them directly.
As beautiful as this fungus it also a part natural biodiversity. The role of this type of fungus is very important in maintaining the natural balance. If dead trees or parts of trees were to just accumulate, the environment would lose balance. But these fungi and other microbes decompose them and return them to nature, so that new plants can grow.
Many researchers and nature lovers study these fungi. Many take pictures of them and use them in various nature documentaries. Because the variety of their designs and colors is truly amazing. These types of fungi are found in different shapes, colors and structures. Some even use them to create natural art.
The most interesting thing is that through these fungi we see part a natural cycle nature. So when we see such a fungus, we can try understand the biological significance behind it instead just dismissing it as ‘plant rot’.
This picture reminds us that every element nature, even the smallest fungus, is an important part a larger ecological system. Therefore, we should respect and take care every element of nature. Even from such a simple picture, we can find many important lessons – such patience, gratitude for natural forms, and the importance of preserving the environment.
In conclusion, this fungus is not just an organism growing on a part of a tree, it is a perfect form nature and living proof the ecological cycle.
