🇪🇸 ~ Esta semana adquirí un kennel talla pequeña para gatos en GoldenPets.ve, una tienda de artículos para mascotas con un stock bastante surtido y muy buena atención en la ciudad de Maracaibo.
Y aunque el kennel que compré esta muy bien construido y todos sus aditamentos son resistentes, esta clase de transporte para mascotas si no lo cuidas adecuadamente tiende a deformarse, especialmente la parte inferior (el piso).
🇺🇸 ~ This week I bought a small size kennel for cats in GoldenPets.ve,, a pet store with a good stock and very good attention in the city of Maracaibo.
And although the kennel I bought is very well built and all its attachments are resistant, this type of pet carrier if you don't take care of it properly, tends to deform, especially the bottom part (the floor).

Antes de estrenarlo, estoy decidida a alargar su tiempo de vida porque esta adquisición es para ayudar a llegar a sus nuevos hogares a los 7 gatitos cachorro que tengo en resguardo (si vives en el Estado Zulia/Venezuela y quieres adoptar un gatito saludable por favor contáctame) 👇
👉 Lo que quiere decir que yo no seré la única persona que manipulara este kennel y pues no todas las personas se preocupan por cuidar este tipo de objetos.
Tambien si tu gatito esta un poco pasado de peso, este tutorial te ayudará a que el kennel mantenga su forma y sea un tipo de transporte cómodo, fresco y seguro para tu mascota por mucho tiempo 🙌 ✨

【 PASO 1 】 El primer paso es, por supuesto, comprar el kennel para gatito y revisarlo muy bien, verifica el estado de las correas, la calidad del cierre, la integridad de las costuras y que tanto el material exterior como interior no este vencido o próximo a caducar (lo notaras si sientes una textura agrietada o polvorosa en tus dedos). Éste que compré esta perfecto asi que sigamos con el tutorial 😊

【 PASO 2 】 Abre el kennel completamente y mide tanto el largo como el ancho de la sección que corresponde al piso. Cierra el kennel, introduce la pieza de madera y marca los excedentes.

【 PASO 3 】 Con ayuda de las reglas asegúrate de marcar muy bien las secciones por cortar, y utiliza el cutter con mucho cuidado.

【 PASO 4 】 Mide, marca, y recorta una sección de cuero sintético con un margen excedente de unos 3 a 4 cm de ancho en base a la pieza de madera que preparaste en el paso anterior, esparce pegamento silicón frio en una de las caras de la tablita, espera que seque y luego aplica en los márgenes excedentes. Espera 60 seg.
【 STEP 4 】 Measure, mark and cut out a piece of synthetic leather with an overhang of about 3-4 cm based on the piece of wood you prepared in the previous step, spread cold silicone glue on one side of the board, wait for it to dry and then apply it to the overhang. Wait 60 seconds.

【 PASO 5 】 Lleva los márgenes con pegamento hacia el lado opuesto de la tablita y mantén en su sitio con las pinzas de costura. Espera 20 min. Corta otra sección de cuero sintético 1 cm mas pequeño que la medida total de la tablita y pegada en la cara expuesta como se aprecia en las imágenes guía. Colócale algunos libros encima por unas horas para que selle bien.
【 STEP 5 】 Bring the glued seam allowances to the opposite side of the small board and hold in place with the stapling clamps. Wait 20 minutes. Cut another piece of faux leather 1 cm smaller than the overall size of the board and glue it to the exposed side as shown in the instructions. Place some books on top for a few hours to seal it.

Tambien esta opción de "piso extra" es lavable, es normal que en los viajes en kennel los gatitos se pongan nerviosos y hagan pipi, popo, o vomiten, este piso al estar forrado en cuero sintético puedes lavarlo con agua y jabon sin problema y reutilizarlo cuando lo seques, incluso pasarle toallitas humedas y estará bien.
Espero este tutorial te ayude mucho, me hubiera gustado recurrir a esta opción antes cuando mis amigos empezaron a invertir en esta clase de kennels, ya que los de plástico sólido rondan los 45$, y estos valen entre 15$ y 16$, ¡vale la pena tratar de extender su tiempo de vida! 😶 👍
Also this option of “extra floor” is washable, it is normal that in kennel trips kittens get nervous and make pee, poop, or vomit, this floor to be lined in synthetic leather you can wash it with soap and water without problem and reuse it when you dry it, even pass wet wipes and it will be fine.
I hope this tutorial helps you a lot, I wish I would have resorted to this option earlier when my friends started investing in this kind of kennels, as the solid plastic ones are around $45, and these are worth $15-$16, it's worth trying to extend their lifespan! 😶 👌
