Haciendo un jumper para niña por primera vez [Esp/Eng]

Saben que hace días compré unos patrones, los cuales compartí y luego fui por telas, así que sin más preámbulo me puse manos a la obra y primeramente no sabía qué elegir entre tanto, pero después me decidí y supe qué haría.

You know that a few days ago I bought some patterns, which I shared, and then I went to buy some fabric, so without further ado I got down to work. At first I didn't know what to choose from so many options, but then I made up my mind and knew what I would do.

Así que decidí hacer un jumper de niña para mi sobrina. Para ello, necesité 2 m de tela y un metro de elástico.

So I decided to make a girl's jumper for my niece. To do this, I needed 2 metres of fabric and a metre of elastic.

Así que inicié marcando, midiendo y cortando todas mis piezas muy relajada mientras escuchaba música, y sí, trabajando en el piso porque en la mesa no me iba a alcanzar el espacio y no sería tan cómodo como quería.

So I started marking, measuring and cutting all my pieces very relaxed while listening to music, and yes, working on the floor because I wouldn't have enough space on the table and it wouldn't be as comfortable as I wanted.

Para la parte de arriba, primeramente, que es la que me pareció más fácil, junté frente con frente y uní menos la parte de los hombros y la parte de abajo, es decir, uní laterales y el cuello. Luego de tener ambas piezas unidas, la pieza de la parte de adelante la volteé y la metí bien ajustada a la de atrás, pero la de atrás no estaba volteada y de esa forma cubrí los hombros. Esta parte me costó muchísimo porque en las instrucciones no me decía cómo hacerlo.

For the top part, which I found easiest, I first joined the front pieces together and then joined the shoulder and bottom parts, i.e. I joined the sides and the neck. After joining both pieces, I turned the front piece over and tucked it snugly into the back piece, but the back piece was not turned over, so I covered the shoulders that way. This part was very difficult for me because the instructions did not tell me how to do it.

Para la parte de la falda si se dieron cuenta en los moldes tenía unos piqueticos con los cuales se miden los tablones, el piquete del medio es el que marca el que va por dentro asi que los junte para ver que tal quedaba.

For the skirt part, if you noticed, the patterns had little marks used to measure the boards. The middle mark indicates the inside, so I put them together to see how it looked.

Para unirlos marque 6 rallitas hacia abajo para todos los tablones.

To join them, mark 6 small lines downwards on all the planks.

Para el bolsillo honestamente no sabia ni como pegarlo asi que improvisando uni ambas partes y voltie y coloque por el frente de los que es el jumper y fije.

Honestly, I didn't know how to attach it, so I improvised by joining both parts together, turning it over, placing it on the front of the jumper, and securing it.

Para la pretina doble el pedasito y lo uni con la cintura frente con frente y asegure con alfileres y luego pase por dentro mi elastico una vez despues de haber medido la cintura de mi sobrina.

For the double waistband, I cut the piece and joined it to the front waistband, securing it with pins. Then, after measuring my niece's waist, I threaded my elastic through it once.

Para unir la parte de arriba con la de abajo primeramente la planche y luego la centre uniendola tal cual como la pretina.

To join the top part with the bottom part, first iron it and then centre it, joining it in the same way as the waistband.

Y así finalmente me quedo, con sus mil y un defecto quizas pero uno siempre tiene que intentarlo una y otra vez porque asi se empieza a mi la verdad me pareció bastante lindo para ser el primero y mi sobrina lo disfruto muy apesar de todo y a mi la verdad me encanto el proceso y lo disfrute, pronto compartiré mas cositas ¡Saludos!

And so, in the end, I'm sticking with it, despite its thousand and one flaws, perhaps, but you always have to keep trying because that's how you get started.
