A very cute keychain

Hello friends, I hope you are well. Today I decided to do a craft project that I had been wanting to do for a long time because I thought the idea was really cute. Although it took me a while to get it right, it's not that easy if you have to draw the figure yourself. But of course, there are easier alternatives, like printing the image you want. Honestly, though, where I live, the print quality is terrible. It seems like they have a 20-year-old printer, and everything comes out dull and streaky, so I decided to draw it myself. I chose to make this Gengar keychain because it would be for my husband, and he really likes Pokémon, especially Gengar.

MATERIALES:
Plastico de refresco
Tirro grueso
Tijeras
Hoja blanca
Marcadores
Lápiz
Los aros para llaveros
Aguja y encendedor
MATERIALS:
Plastic soda bottle
Thick string
Scissors
White paper
Markers
Pencil
Key rings
Needle and lighter

As I mentioned, you can skip this step by printing the image you want, or you can draw it yourself, as I did. I used the most popular image of Gengar that you can find on Google and tried to recreate it as closely as possible, although I always had a problem with the right eye; I feel like it looks strange. After making the pencil sketch, I started to outline it with a fine black marker, but it turned out that my black marker was almost dry... I had to improvise with a thick black marker for the edges, and it looked pretty bad, but I had no choice. Then I erased all traces of the sketch and chose the colors to paint my Gengar.

Coloring was difficult because I'm not used to mixing colors with markers, but it turned out better than I thought. The downside was that while I was coloring, the black edges got lost, so I decided to go over them with black, but not just any black—it's a Prismacolor brand color, and those are very pigmented. It turned out perfect; it almost looks like a marker. After getting all the edges ready, I cut out the whole figure, set it aside, and then took a soda bottle and cut it in half to get a piece of smooth plastic. I bent it quite a bit to straighten it out.

I also took some thick tape and placed the figure on the piece of plastic and covered it with the tape, so it looked as if it had been laminated. Then cut out the figure around all the edges and make a small hole to insert the keyring. The problem is that I made the hole too low and the small ring didn't fit, so I had to turn the keyring upside down and put the large ring in that part, haha. And this is how cute this Gengar turned out.

Precioso este Gengar y lo mejor es que tienes el talento para todo, tu misma lo dibujaste. Ame este llavero 😍
