Saludos querida comunidad, hoy viendo redes sociales me encontré con un video tutorial de un patito a crochet que me encantó y de inmediato quise hacerlo, la pagina se llama Tejiendo con amor Beatriz, realmente me pareció muy fácil sus instrucciones y aunque le hice unas modificaciones mínimas como cambiar la forma de hacer el pico y las patas, todo lo demás es exactamente igual, me pareció que en un patito fácil de hacer y que además por necesita pocos materiales es ideal para vender, espero as ustedes les guste tanto como a mi 😉

Greetings dear community! Today, while browsing social media, I came across a video tutorial for a crocheted duck that I absolutely loved, and I immediately wanted to make one. The page is called Tejiendo con amor Beatriz (Knitting with Love Beatriz). I found the instructions really easy, and although I made a few minor modifications, like changing the way I made the beak and feet, everything else is exactly the same. I thought it was an easy duck to make, and since it requires few materials, it's ideal for selling. I hope you like it as much as I do! 😉

Proceso / Process

En las instrucciones decía que usaba lana de 2.5 y ganchillo 3mm, yo como solo tenía hilo crochet acrílico del colombiano que es delgado usé hebra doble, el cuerpo de hace primero con hilo verde montando 6 puntos bajos en un anillo, se hacen 20 hileras solo con el color verde, luego 2 hileras con el color beige, 5 hileras con el color marrón y luego 23 hileras con el hilo beige, se cierra con la aguja de ojal grande, no se rellena ni se introduce alambre.

The instructions said to use 2.5 mm yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook. Since I only had Colombian acrylic crochet thread, which is thin, I used double strand. The body is made first with green yarn by making 6 single crochet stitches in a ring. 20 rows are made with the green color only, then 2 rows with the beige color, 5 rows with the brown color, and then 23 rows with the beige yarn. It is closed with a large-eye needle; it is not stuffed or wire is inserted.

El siguiente paso es hacer los espirales del cuerpo, en el video usaron silicón caliente para hacer ese proceso, yo en cambio usé hilo acrílico del mismo y aguja de ojal grande para coser, de las dos formas es valido hacerlo y no creo que se note la diferencia.

The next step is to make the body spirals. In the video they used hot glue for this process, but I used acrylic yarn of the same color and a large eye needle for sewing. Both methods are valid and I don't think the difference will be noticeable.

Para el pico en el video lo hicieron con lana y aguja de 3 mm haciendo 4 puntos bajos en un anillo y luego una hilera de 4 puntos bajos, pero yo opté por hacerlo con una sola hebra de hilo acrílico y con aguja de 1.25, hice 4 puntos bajos en un anillo, dos aumentos por dos hileras para obtener 8 puntadas, luego cosí a la cabeza del patito. Para las patas con naranja hice 3 cadenas, 3 puntos bajos juntos en la segunda cadenas y 1 punto deslizado en la primera, luego tres cadenas y 3 puntos bajos juntos en la segunda y 1 punto deslizado en la primera, luego hice 3 cadenas y 1 punto deslizado en la segunda y primera, con eso cosí las patitas. Para la cola si procedí exactamente como el video, con el hilo beige levanté un punto bajo, luego hice un punto alto, 2 cadenas y 1 punto deslizado en la primera, luego un punto alto y un punto bajo.

For the beak, the video shows how to make it with wool and a 3mm hook, working 4 single crochet stitches in a ring and then a row of 4 single crochet stitches. However, I opted to make it with a single strand of acrylic yarn and a 1.25mm hook. I worked 4 single crochet stitches in a ring, increased twice for two rows to get 8 stitches, and then sewed it to the duck's head. For the legs, using orange yarn, I chained 3, worked 3 single crochet stitches together in the second chain and 1 slip stitch in the first, then chained 3 and worked 3 single crochet stitches together in the second chain and 1 slip stitch in the first, then chained 3 and worked 1 slip stitch in the second and first chains. I then sewed the legs on with this yarn. For the tail, I followed the same procedure as in the video. With beige yarn, I worked a single crochet stitch, then a double crochet stitch, chained 2 and 1 slip stitch in the first chain, then a double crochet stitch and a single crochet stitch.

Resultado / Result

Debo decir que yo muy poco sigo patrones de otros, pero esta ocasión em encantó tanto que dudé en hacerlo, me sorprende como de algo tan sencillo pudieron crear algo tan hermoso, siempre hay que agradecer por esas cosas que nos permiten expandir aún más nuestros conocimientos y apreciar el trabajo de los demás 😊

I must say that I rarely follow other people's patterns, but this time I loved it so much that I didn't hesitate to do it. I'm amazed at how they were able to create something so beautiful from something so simple. We should always be grateful for those things that allow us to expand our knowledge even further and appreciate the work of others 😊
