A Colorful Crochet Shirt

#needleworkmonday

Most of the designs I create were made out of boredom, best believe this is one of them. Now how did I get to designing Renboga in the first place ?

I had a crocheter reach out to me about a stitch she couldn't understand and wanted to know if I knew the name so she could look it up or if I knew how to make it, I said no (only realised its called a larks foot stitch yesterday) but I told her ill try to figure it out, left her and got to work because I was almost consumed by boredom that day, used the colors I had available to make a switch then sent her a tutorial on how to get it done.

After that my source of relief from the boredom was gone and I got back to insane boredom, thought to myself “wait I could just design something” well renboga is that something a random color palette on a random stitch with left over yarns.

The first design I ever made for renboga was a shirt I made for me (my sister currently had it so I guess I don't own one anymore) wore it to a meeting I had with a client he liked it and got it for his daughter (I was so happy, there’s this thing that happens not when you get an order but when they order something you designed by yourself, it just feels so good and assuring) so here we are with the daughters design, in his words “I want the exact same thing just one size smaller” and yes I delivered.

I got to work on hers and I was so excited, I got to try out a few things I wanted to fix on the first design. When I finished up it was a bit stiff and I wanted to see how a flowy version of it would look since the original design was stiff

This was the week I just got my oraimo steamerrrr 💃💃💃 best believe yiur girl went to work with it and the outcome was so pretty and flowy I might just make mine this way when I make a replacement. I was taking pictures and the wind was blowing the shirt. I'm not even pissed Mr wind just do your thing. I packaged it up and sent it to him. He loved it so much and couldn't wait to send it to his daughter since she was in school. I was just giddy because he loved what I delivered.

Can’t wait to recreate this design for myself, I’ve stuck to creating it only in this mix except a custom order is made for a 1 of 1 design. I think I buy the idea of it. It’ll be so lovely to have this turn into my best seller.

Oh this is beautiful. Wow!
I just want to know if the result doesn’t feel rough since you used acrylic yarn. Local acrylic yarns are so rough that you won’t even be able to wear them after making something from them.

Ohhhh it wasn’t actually, I use yeye yarn though and it always feels comfy but it’s thick with double strand.
