HOW A PIECE OF CLOTHING CAN BUILD YOUR SELF ESTEEM

The way I felt while taking this photo was just.....wow.

At first, i felt so nervous that I kept making awkward facial expression. People were walking by and they were blatantly staring. Gosh! My insecurities just decided to rear it's ugly head at me and I honestly felt like going into a corner to hide.

But then, a stranger finally gathered some boldness.

"You look gorgeous my dear. That dress really compliments you" she yelled from the other side of the street.

If my skin was a different flavour my cheeks would have turned red.
I was too stunned to reply (and I was also too shy to yell back a "thank you")

I had made this dress on Saturday evening.

I wanted to wear something new to service and I didn't want something too sparkly. I wanted it simple and pretty.....but I didn't feel pretty.

I wore the dress for the first time and I loved it. I felt confident, but the moment I went outside, my confidence left me.

My bright smile became dim and not so bright. I received a few compliments and stares from a couple guys but I still didn't feel beautiful.

But that changed when I received a compliment from a woman like myself.
My self esteem was boosted and I suddenly felt gorgeous. It's very hard to explain how it felt, but it was wonderful.

A dress I had decided to make on a whim and a little compliment from a total stranger made me love myself more.

That entire day, it didn't matter what anyone was telling me😌😌

I was gorgeous and I KNEW IT!!!
