Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun: round 175

avatar

Hey there my Hive friends and followers!

Welcome to the 175th round of my special weekly photo challenge known as Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun :)

I know a lot of photo contests with nature as the main theme were/are/will be hosted by various people on the Hive blockchain but I wanted to come up with something more than just another photo contest where participants would submit their best natural photos. Therefore, I decided to go for quite an unusual concept that I am going to introduce in the following lines.

The aim of the Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun photo challenge is not to make you dig up your photo archives and submit the best pictures of nature that you have ever taken. Instead, I want you guys to go out and appreciate the beauty of our nature right now.

The internet (and the Hive blockchain as well) is flooded with picture perfect shots of landscapes, mountains, forests, beaches etc. taken years ago. But this is not what I want to see in this challenge. I want to see shots that may not be necessarily stunning but they must be fresh, proving that you have just physically spent some time outdoors in the fresh air. But remember that nature comes in many forms. It doesn´t have to be a pristine jungle or a deep remote forest. An urban park, a botanical garden, a little grove on the outskirts of your town - pretty much any place with some trees, plants, rocks, bodies of water or any other natural features would be just as fine ;)

Obviously, there is no way for me to verify whether the photo that you submit in the challenge is really fresh or if it was even taken by you so I am relying on your honesty guys. The prizes for the winners (as described below) are more symbolical than overly motivating so I don´t expect too much fraudulent behavior in this challenge anyway.

I want to keep the rules of this challenge as simple and benevolent as possible so let´s agree on just this:

Only one entry (photo) per person per round.

The photo must be yours and not older than one week.

Add a few words about the photo, at least where and when you took it.

You can start submitting your entries to this round in the comment section below from now until the next round. If you want to create a separate post as your entry, you can do that but please always remember to submit your entry in the form of a comment here in this post as well. I only check the entries submitted here as comments.

Prior to publishing the next round post, I will pick 3 winners, give my full upvote on their entries and feature them in the next round of the challenge. I also give some smaller upvotes on the other entries too so that all participants get rewarded for their engagement.

I usually host the challenge on Thursday but when needed for some reason, I can host it on some other day so better check my blog regularly not to miss out on it ;)

To keep up with you guys, I submit my own fresh natural photo to every round´s post too :) Here is my contribution to start out this round:

We have been getting a decent amount of heat and sunshine here in the Czech Republic lately but on Tuesday, two days ago, the weather was great for some outdoor avdenture. It was not so hot that day and the sky was cloudy so I wasted no time and headed out to the forests. I even climbed on the top of the Hemr´s Rocks here in the Prague neighborhood of Jinonice to enjoy the lovely views that this place offers. I took a few panoramic shots from up there including the one featured above. You can see a part of the actual rocks on the left and some beautiful lush forest on the right. In my opinion, the cloudy sky only enhanced the special atmosphere of this amazing place. At least that´s how I felt it when I was there ;)

In the last round, we had 12 participants. After some thorough consideration, I decided to pick these 3 winners:

@malos10 with this entry from Venezuela:

Yesterday I went to a goat farm of a friend mine, we had a good time with the goats, they are soo lovely and act like friendly dogs. I petted them all day haha and took some nice photos too! This farm is located in San Cristobal, Venezuela.

@nenio with this entry from Chile:

new_lunar-cycle-001.jpg

In the photo shown you can see a small section of the crescent moon, just at the beginning of its cycle. In the foreground we can see the reflections of lights of a ship anchored at the bay in Antofagasta, Chile.

@stayoutoftherz with this entry from Austria:

Last Saturday, Vienna, Austria, when I visited a friend who lives close to the Danube. In the past the Danube´s river bed was kind of wild with regular floodings. So app. 100 years ago they "regulated" it, creating a new, more straight river bed. Many small branches from the former river like this exist still today and are integrated in parks, etc.

Congratulations guys! It was my pleasure to give you 100% upvotes on your entries :)

I am looking forward to what you will come up with in this round.

Have fun and appreciate the beauty of nature!

Well, am I just in the right place to join in! This was taken minutes ago, in one of Portugal most awesome forests: mata da Albergaria, Gerês. It will deserve its separate post for sure, but here's a peak of the landscape: oaks as far as the eye can see!

Yeah! I usually pick only photos with nothing but nature in them as the winners but that night shot by @nenio was really amazing and the ship just fitted in there perfectly ;)

Congratulation to all the winners in this round.

This is my entry of this week. I'm not sure which one is better so I shared both.
I took these pictures yesterday, through the plane's windshield so they're not very clear.
And the limited frame of my Pixel 5 can not make the wider angel to show you how beautiful it is.
Believe me, it's much more beautiful if you can see with your own eyes.

I see a cave with a light inside. Someone is cooking in this cave

I see Gozilla is fighting with Hydra. THey destroyed everything and fire is everywhere

Here's my entry photo

Butterfly Doing Pollination
I captured it on my way from work yesterday.
The beautiful color combination was what caught my eye and I stood for a while to watch it pollinate the sunflower grasses.

Location is Aba, Abia State, Nigeria.

I also made a post about it.

Amazing view from the different parts of the world.

Here's my entry to round 175:
Delightful View in our Village

Every day I pass by this beautiful sight, I will be mesmerized by the beauty it radiates to everyone. The green grasses and mountains around the village. Greens by some cogon grass and sugarcane plantations and the captivating mountains surrounded the place.

Have a nice day!

Shots taken in Canaocanao, Tabogon, Cebu. June 30, 2023, 7:35 am.

Thanks for this beautiful entry my friend! You said "your village" so I guess the location is Romania and the only thing we thus need to know is when you took this lovely shot ;)

My previous @v4vapp proposal has expired. I have a new one which is running but unfunded right now. I'm still running @v4vapp and all my other services.

I've just updated v4v.app and I'm getting ready for some exciting new features after the next hard fork.

Please consider asking your friends to vote for prop #265 or consider unvoting the return vote.

For understandable reasons in the current crypto climate it is harder to get funded by the DHF, I accept this so I'm asking a wider audience for help again. I'll also add that I power up Hive every day and usually power up larger amounts on 1st of the Month. I'm on Hive for ideological reasons much more than for only economic benefit.

Additionally you can also help with a vote for Brianoflondon's Witness using KeyChain or HiveSigner

If you have used v4v.app I'd really like to hear your feedback, and if you haven't I'd be happy to hear why or whether there are other things you want it to do.

Here a photo of the full moon rise behind the arid mountains of Antofagasta (north of Chile). They were taken last Sunday, approximately at 18:14 hours. Behind those mountains lies the vast Atacama desert.
