Robin Close Ups

American Robins are familiar and welcomed avian residents in Calgary, especially during the spring and summer months. Recognizable by their striking orange-red breasts and grayish-brown backs, these migratory birds are known for their melodious songs that fill the air during the breeding season. While they are commonly associated with North American suburbs and gardens, American Robins are also found in Calgary's parks and green spaces, where they forage for earthworms and insects. Their presence is a cheerful sign of the changing seasons, marking the arrival of warmer weather in the Calgary region.
