White Bristly Rose

(Edited)

The Nootka rose is a shrub native to the Pacific Northwest. You can find it growing wild, usually in its rosy coloured variety. In spite of its dainty appearance, it's a hardy plant that can live in a variety of soil types. They emit a pleasant fragrance, which contrasts nicely with the musty earthy scent of the forest. They're also called bristly rose because of their prickly leaves and stems.

This looks familiar! I think I've seen this flower before, but I never knew its name until now. I love flowers, and this one is so charming. It's amazing how tough it is despite its delicate appearance. The fragrance must be delightful, especially in the forest. The beauty of nature always surprises us!

such a lovely and wonderful flower. It also resembles one of the thorny ivy bushes that we have here.

They have an interesting colour, shape, and texture. Some locals also use it for medicinal purposes. I read that parts of it are edible though one has to be careful not to eat seeds.
