the state of my mind
I must say that this photo below is the kind of the state of my mind at the moment, as I just took a big decision in my life. As you already know that I quit my job and persue the farming so that I can be close to my wife and my son, while also taking care of my aging parents.
But then all my dream is just like the beautiful clouds that you see in the photo below. so beautiful yet still so far away, and then there a bunch of unwanted obstacle that ruining what seem to be a beautiful photo of the blue sky wiht the cloud.
That is what I faced now, because farming is not easy, despite the experience that I have in my childhood, and 2 years working in Japan in kind of a trainee programme in agricuture, but every place, soil is different, and I have re-learn everything, and adapting to all of the other things, while also thinking about providing my family. I know I don't have to whine about this thing here on hive, but yeah it is what it is. Just when I was scrolling my phone galery trying to fidn photo to post on hive, since I am runningn out of macro photo to share, then I find this photo that suited well with my current state of mind.
So please skip the whining part, and enjoy this photo below. ;)

.Good luck on your new venture. It's not easy to start farming again and especially with different soil. Do you already decide what to plant?
yes, apparently I ahve a lot to learn. At the moment, I still take care the corn, long bean, shallot that my father planted before I resign. And the pakchoy that I planted recently. but my next target is to be able to grow shallot and chilli, but both are risky and quite delicate to take care of.
is pakcoy difficult to plant? I thought it was a a lot easier to do. Maybe if you have successfully planted all that, you can even your own salad bad :D
I wish you success. I'm retired now, and I'm involved in farming, but it takes some time before you understand the conditions, as you mention, the soil, climate, and plants that grow in your soil successfully, etc, and a lot of effort!
Yes, I think I underestimate all the obstacle before, and think that farming is not that difficult, but turns out to be very wrong Thank you so much my friend. I really love to se how you are doing with your farm before, and I wish to be able to reach that stage as well. :)
It's not that hard, except that you have to take the time to do it. I've been doing it for about eight years, actually, since I joined Hive, haha, coincidence. I've got some land, but I'm still learning. Every season is different.
good luck om !PIMP !BBH
Thank you om.
Perfect picture to describe the feeling of so close yet so far away! Perhaps, focus more on the so close part and how beautiful it is. I'm sure you'll find a way to work through this situation of yours, best of luck to you, the future looks bright :)
Thank so much my friend, I think you are right, I just need to focus on the closwr part first while preparing for the farther away one.
You're most welcome, sometimes that's the best way to go about such moments, the path will get clearer over time, hopefully
It is not easy to do what you are doing. Regions vary and the soil and even microclimates are different. Yes you have to relearn Eka! Good luck!
Thank you so much Ed, I appreciate it, and I hope that I could find better rythem between farming and online so that ii can cath up with you all as well.
Fingers crossed Eka that it all works out
