"Every photo tells a story, and so is art."

Some stories are produced by the media, unfortunately, some are tampered with to conceal the truth and the real story. Some people are trying to expose the truth by all means, while others are expressing it through art.

The Stratégie en Chambre is an artwork created by Wang Du, a Chinese contemporary artist who focuses on three-dimensional painted projects. He now has an art studio in Paris after marrying a French woman and having been introduced to several artists. Some of his artwork portrays injustice, politics, media, society, and culture. Each is thought-provoking.

According to this story, his artwork, Stratégie en Chambre, expresses how media outlets tell different stories about the 1998 war in Kosovo. If translated, it is called armchair strategy or unrealistic strategy. Whatever the real story behind this artwork, it portrays different conflicts and a war zone concept.

The installation is composed of sculptures, toys, clay figures, and piles of old newspapers. Bill Clinton's head is one of them, and it looks like it's cursing something or someone. In the middle is a clay figure of a kid holding a gun, which isn't a pleasant sight. There are clay figures of teens wearing soldiers' costumes who seem to be shouting about whatever propaganda they want to portray. They are probably protesting to stop the war and biased media stories.

Meanwhile, suspended overhead are different warplanes and helicopter toys that emulate those in the war. You would think it was a playground at first sight because of the different toys scattered on the mountain of newspapers. But it's a thought-provoking and creative artwork that gives realizations about biased media, politics, war, crises, and injustice.

There are also some portraits depicting war.

Alongside this installation are other distinct artworks located in different rooms in this Museum.

The Waterfall by the Yangjiang Group of Artists is made from wax, paper, and metal armature. I first thought those were melted candles that were formed into terrain. It probably took a lot of time to complete the art piece.

Meanwhile, on the other side is a Landscape of Black Blank Cards which I couldn't search for the artist or name of the installation. I found it random, to be honest, just like how random things in life are. Could it be a mountain of sadness and depression? I wonder why the artist used all black cards. It's pretty interesting to know the inspiration or story behind the artwork.

Another art piece that caught my attention was the Infinity Partition by a South Korean artist, Lee Bul. It is made of wood, mirror, LED, glass, polyurethane, and acrylic paint. It looks like a broken glass mirror from the outside, but if you look at the inside, those are actually metals creating the effect.

Some art pieces by Japanese artists Kiyonori Kikutake from Expo Tower, Osaka Japan are also exhibited here, just as the rusty Ball Joint made from cast iron, and the triangular-shaped Panel made from cast aluminum, glass, and metal. On the other side is art on display from Daihatsu Motor Co, Osaka Japan, is the Midget three-wheeled truck which is a very old model from 1962.

Lastly, I found this one funny. A portrait of a man trying to escape from police officers. Unbeknownst to him, the officers are just behind him and watching what he is doing, lol.

And these are just some of the remaining photos from M+ Museum I haven't shared yet.

Impressive. The installation Stratégie en Chambre particularly caught my attention, because it is about the war in my country that I experienced when I was a child. The childhood of many children was destroyed then, because instead of playing with toys, they hid from warplanes in shelters. And the worst thing is that Kosovo is still a critical territory of my country and the issue is still not resolved, after so many years...

Sorry to know that... I can't imagine how it feels to be in your shoes back in the day because I am lucky not to experience war in my place...
But it is sad to still see countries battling even until this modern era..
People seem not to learn from history..they only think of their personal gains and power.

Those pictures are looking realistic that I was confused at the beginning thinking whether those are real or not. I believe that you might think the same also when you see those first.
Hope you enjoyed there very much.

Interesting. I like the landscape of Black Cards and the Waterfall, all of it is very creative. This reminds me to visit the Art District some day. Haha, barely got time for Me Time these days.
