Human Nature
Human nature is one of the most complicated things to understand. Sometimes, I sit back and wonder why people act the way they do. It seems like, as long as our desires are being met, we can do anything, no matter how unreasonable or harmful it might be. People are naturally impulsive, and this impulsiveness can push them to make decisions without thinking of the consequences. This is why we see so much chaos in the world today. The sad truth is that we haven’t fully understood the depth of human nature, and because of this, managing people is incredibly difficult.
When we talk about issues like gun violence in the USA, many people focus on gun laws. But I strongly believe that guns are not the real problem. A gun is just a tool. On its own, it can not harm anyone unless a human being picks it up and uses it. The true danger lies in the person holding the weapon. Recently, there was a case of a man, I think his name was Kink or something like that, who was shot dead in the USA. When I heard about it, I couldn’t help but reflect on what is inside the human heart. For someone to take another person’s life so easily, it shows how deep evil can run in us.
The Bible even says that the heart of man is desperately wicked, and no one can truly understand it. This is so true when we look at the world today. People value material wealth and personal desires more than human life. It’s all about “me, myself, and I.” This selfishness is everywhere: in families, communities, and even romantic relationships. Everyone just wants to satisfy their own needs, no matter the cost. Back in the day, communities used to care for one another, but now, everyone is left to fend for themselves. There’s no real communal relationship anymore, and that makes it even harder to create a society where people are truly safe and happy.
This selfish and impulsive nature of humans is why problems keep escalating. As long as we focus more on economic and financial growth rather than the well-being of people, we will continue to go in circles. The society we live in today does not help either. It pushes people to chase money, power, and fame, even if it means harming others. When someone values wealth above human life, there is no limit to the evil they can do.
At the end of the day, the issue isn’t the tools or laws—it’s us. Humans are unpredictable and sometimes act beyond reasonable comprehension. We can be kind and loving today, and tomorrow, the same person can turn cold and cruel. Until we begin to truly understand ourselves and intentionally work on changing our mindset, the world will keep seeing violence and pain. It takes conscious effort from each of us to put others first and make the world a better place.
Pity would be no more, if we do not make others poor, and mercy no more could be if others are as happy as we are - William Blake.
Every man's way is always right in his own side. No man ever thought of being wrong if many are praising him.
I want you to understand that.
But for weapons, if they are not available, no man would ever think of using them.
Hmm, we will always have something to say. No one can really please humans
