Crypto dust: imperceptible value

We often see tiny fractions of tokens in our crypto wallets or crypto exchange accounts. These are leftover cryptocurrencies, too small to use. They can't be exchanged or withdrawn, you can't buy anything with them. They lie “dead weight” - too small to be of any use. Most users simply ignore them. They are “crypto dust.”

Once upon a time, these tokens were part of a large diverse active system, were something significant, valuable and promising.

Now they just exist, in the shadows, not useful and not moving anywhere. They are usually not noticed.

And in this I noticed a certain analogy with our society.

When a person is young, full of strength, abilities and opportunities - he is demanded by society, he is respected, he is used, he is valuable as a liquid asset that brings profit. He feels part of something important and significant.

But when you become small - weak, old, or sick - your social value drops, your life is shallow, and you find yourself unwanted and forgotten. It's like crypto dust that is there but as if it doesn't exist.

But there is always a way to make a difference. Small things have value, too. Just like cryptocurrencies, for which some crypto exchanges have created the ability to put all those small pieces together and convert them into a liquid asset, human beings have the ability to put themselves back together, to bring themselves back from oblivion, to find meaning and value again.

Even if society doesn't see value in the small “bits” of our lives, we ourselves can give them weight. We can preserve and manifest what is important and valuable in each person.

Sincere love, small acts of kindness, care and attention to others, creative manifestations and good memory in the hearts of others - this is something that will never become “dust”. But will always be a part of our life, our destiny.

Maybe it is in these imperceptible little things that the real value is hidden.

I like how you compared crypto dust with human life. The reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness, care, or creativity can hold deep value is powerful. Nothing truly becomes useless if it carries meaning within it.

ah, a lovely insight shared here, my friend. It's quite sad that most people take everything at face value, not stopping to look for the little nuggets in what they perceive as merely 'human dust'. understanding that the most important things are often hidden; a treasure for us to find... is something that the Little Prince discovered and enunciated so well...

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince.

Keep writing... you are a joy to read!
