Stay at home / Quedarse en casa (ENG / ESP)

There are days when staying home is not boring; days when fun ideas come up and we get to work.

I belong to a group of parents with children with special educational needs. Dylan is autistic and there are many other pathologies in his group, but that has never been a barrier between them; On the contrary, they help and complement each other.

Under the pretext of the Day of Love and Friendship, fathers and mothers devised an exchange of presents that the children would make. Dylan and I came up with this nice card that we now share with you.

We only need colors, two sheets of paper, scissors and glue.

Here's how Dylan and I did it:

​We fold one of the sheets of paper in half to form the body of the card.

On the second sheet, we draw the silhouette of a cloud and cut out.

Color it: Dylan chose his favorite colors to decorate both the cutout and the front of the card.

​To finish we glue the cut out figure in the center of the card with a little glue.

​As the last details we added "crazy eyes" and a small pompom for the nose, but you can also draw them if you don't have these materials.

Hay días en los que quedarse en casa no es aburrido; días en los que surgen ideas divertidas y nos ponemos manos a la obra.

​Pertenezco a un grupo de padres con niños de necesidades educativas especiales. Dylan es autista y en su grupo hay otras muchas patologías, pero eso nunca ha sido una barrera entre ellos; todo lo contrario, se ayudan y complementan.

​Con el pretexto del Día del Amor y la Amistad, padres y madres ideamos un intercambio de presentes que elaborarían los niños. A Dylan y a mí se nos ocurrió esta simpática tarjeta que ahora les compartimos.

​Solo necesitamos colores, dos hojas de papel, tijeras y pegamento.

Aquí te explicamos cómo lo hicimos Dylan y yo:

​Doblamos una de las hojas de papel por la mitad para formar el cuerpo de la tarjeta.

En la segunda hoja, dibujamos la silueta de una nube y recórtamos.

​Darle color: Dylan escogió sus colores favoritos para decorar tanto la figura recortada como el frente de la tarjeta.

​Para terminar pegamos la figura recortada en el centro de la tarjeta con un poco de pegamento.

​Como últimos detalles agregamos "ojos locos" y un pequeño pompón para la nariz, pero también los puedes dibujar si no tienes estos materiales.
