Hive Power Up Day - May 1st 2025: Sunshine, Flowers and Endless Possibilities

Hi all, it is the 1st of May 2025, and it's labour day today which I hope is a public holiday for everyone to celebrate the fruits of their labour. And today isn't just labour day, it is once again, Hive Power Up Day! As we move into May, it will be a month of sunshine, flowers and endless possibilities and it is the gateway to summer. And typically in summer, day time is a little longer and that makes us having more time to be productive. Let's continue to show our support for the blockchain we all love and a fair bit of time on and take part in Hive Power Up Day!

I have participated in Hive Power Up Day since October 2022, the journey since then had been nothing less than awesome. I still remembered how I started with 315HP back then when I first participated in this Power Up initiative. From that month on, on every month running, I would try my best to take part and show my support to the blockchain. Hive is a very unique block chain made up of various communities and interest groups. Information and sharing for topics about almost anything under the sun can be found here. Not just that, there are people whom are really good in what they do here as well, such as singers, artists, doctors etc. The community is super diverse and that's what makes Hive special with people coming from all walks of life.

Hive Power Up Day, What is it?
Hive Power Up Day occurs on the first day of each month where the community come together to stake their Hive to become Hive Power. Through this, our account gets powered up!

By powering up our account, what does it bring?

• Increase our influence in the block chain, in terms of voting power on content, witnesses and proposals
• With a much higher Hive Power, we get more curation rewards and improve our earnings.
• Passive earning of 3% per annum

Hive Power Up April Month 2025

My growth in HP in the the month of April for 2025 manage to gathered me 719 HP which is a good figure added to my growth, my sincere thanks to everyone whom had given me their support for the past month!

Every growth that I've managed improves my influence in the blockchain and I will be able to push for higher growth with each month.

So let's see the status of the Hive Power Up Month:

It was on 26st April that I was super tired and fell asleep before making a post which caused me unable to fulfil the hive power up month requirement for April. It's been 2 months in succession that I've missed fulfilling the Hive Power Up Month due to sickness and fatigue. I guess my recent work ramp up real high and makes it tough. But I will try my best to continue writing consistently in May and hopefully push myself even further forward towards my goals.

Concluding
While I missed 2 successive months for Hive Power Up Month, I will still persevere and try to be more consistent and at the same time, find time to recharge myself to recover from the fatigue.

I am working in the background to enable some form of passive earning to fund the next Hive Power Day, it might not be able to fund sufficiently right now for even 1 Hive per month, but with consistency I am putting in to build up of what I am doing, I am certain one day it will be able to fund the base requirement for the power up day! Right now while everything is still rather low in terms of passive hive gains, some parts of the power up is from the passive while the bulk still came from sources such as comment rewarder, liquid hive selling layer 2 token etc. No matter how, I will continue to improve my passive so that I can have enough to power up every month. It is not exactly very easy, but with determination, I will make sure this happens.
