Back to school routine: preparing for resumption #loh255

School vacation is the period where teachers, pupils and students are supposed to rest after 3 months spent in school. The vacation is over and this period can be both exciting and a bit stressful. I have to go back to my usual routine of waking up early, preparing the kids for school, preparing their breakfast and launch at the same time, also preparing myself for work.

I have been preparing for this resumption for sometime now because I don't like doing things in a hurry or at dying minute. I first of all took my son's school bag to get it repaired, it pained me that the lafu couldn't repair it as she said she had other pressing work at hand and now my son would have to use the bag like that. I also polished his shoes so they would look neat and presentable.

I also got him new pairs of socks as some of the old ones were worn out. As school resumes this term, I have to go back to my usual routine of waking up by 5am. This will give me enough time to prepare breakfast, pack their launch, get myself ready for work and also get them ready for school, all these I have to finish before 7am which is the time we all leave the house.

I have also started planning our meals for the week ahead so I won't think too much about what to cook early in the morning. I hand picked my beans and I'll take it out tomorrow to grinded into powder for easy use. I stocked the house with foodstuffs such as rice, beans and yam.

Yes, the vacation is over but I’m thankful. I’m thankful that my kids have the chance to go to school and learn. I’m thankful that I can prepare them and support their education. And I’m hopeful that this term will be a good one for both them and me.

Being a mother of school-going children is a huge task. I also have to deal with a rather demanding routine, but I'm always grateful that my son can go to school 😊

Ya se acabaron las vacaciones y toca empezar la rutina escolar, madrugar, para preparar los alimentos, al niño y salir antes de la 7, aquí en Venezuela las clases son a las 7 am, así que toca despertar más temprano, aunque es algo agotador, este nuevo año escolar será para más aprendizaje y crecimiento. The holidays are over and it's time to start the school routine: get up early to prepare food and the child, and leave before 7:00. Here in Venezuela, classes are at 7:00 a.m., so it's time to wake up earlier. Although it's a bit tiring, this new school year will be full of learning and growth. Blessings 🙏🏼

My sons are adults now but I remember their routine preparing them for their day at our private school. When I started working night shifts my Roommate took over the morning routine since I cannot get home in time to supervise the morning rush.
