CONTEST #225: THE FIRST GUY IN MY LIFE

Hello, ladies in the world…

February is always remembered as the pink month. The month full of love and the month with a sweet aroma because there is Valentine's Day in it. I hope everyone celebrates this month with joy.

Also, because of the sweet theme of February, the contest in episode #225 also tickles me. The choice of theme proposed by @trucklife-family is very fun. Although there are two, I will choose the one in the first point.

When did I first say 'I Love You' to someone other than my family members? And what about my love language?

Let's catch our breath first before trying to go back to the past. Of course this writing is only to answer, it doesn't mean that I haven't moved on. But, all kinds of love must be celebrated, right?

The man I've known since junior high school finally broke my courage to say I LOVE YOU. 2006 to 2013 was enough time for me to bury my feelings of secretly loving him. Because of my friend's support, I finally dared to say I love him through a private message. Actually, I'm sure the result will not be as I wanted, but the important point is that I came to know and stopped hoping for someone who is not for me.

I thought it was just puppy love, but it turns out I am always sincere when I fall in love with someone. Even though it has to end, even though I get the reality that we can't be together, I don't feel like I've lost anything. Because loving him is my right and whether or not he reciprocates is his right. We live our own lives.

Then in this first point, I was also asked about love language. I have it as Quality Time. After I grew up and many things happened to me including in matters of love, it turns out that I like the dynamics of a couple's relationship the most that prioritizes quality time. I like to be alone and have deep conversations. Although it doesn't have to be every day, because as I get older and busier I personally can't always contact him every day. We just need to compromise on things like this. However, if there is an opportunity, I really appreciate time with my partner with quality chats. I like to talk about many things: books, movies, literature, social and political criticism, and many more, except for sports.

Although I personally like sports, I really don't like this topic. It seems like sports are fun to do, not to talk about. Sometimes I can just sit for four hours with the person I love. Of course, there is usually coffee or snacks to accompany us. The rest, just chatting or taking a moment to enjoy each other.

That's my writing for this week's contest, hopefully readers enjoy my experience, I will also read experiences from other authors, because the theme is very fun. Happy Valentine for everyone!

That's a brave and heartfelt story, @titisnariyah . It takes a lot of courage to express your feelings, especially when you're unsure of the outcome. It's important to have the clarity you need to move on, and it's admirable that you recognized the value of your love, regardless of the result.

Loving someone sincerely, even if it doesn't work out, is a testament to your ability to love deeply and genuinely. It's a beautiful quality to have, and it's great that you can reflect on those feelings without regret. Each experience, even the ones that don't turn out as we hope, helps shape us and teach us more about ourselves.

Thank you for sharing your story, @titisnariyah . It’s a reminder that love, in all its forms, is a vital part of the human experience.

I agree with you. From that experience I also know more and more that I am also valuable and worthy of love at another time. I became more brave and more confident that I was fast. Thank you for supporting me and appreciating my writing, @silversaver888
