My Hive Story - LOH #227

Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome πŸ€—

I first heard about Hive through a friend who isn't in the blockchain anymore. We were discussing other things we would do to earn extra income, and she said, You know what? I just found out about a place called Hive where you get to write, people upvote your post, and you make earnings from it. It sounded so simple and too good to be true, so I asked her if she had cashed out, and she said no.

That raised some red flags for me, and I thought maybe it's another scam platform. So I wasn't convinced. However, after some days, I gave it a thought and decided to research Hive online, but reading about it left me more confused. Despite my reservation, I decided to take a leap of faith and join the blockchain without any knowledge about how Hive works.

I made my first few posts, and to my disappointment, I didn't receive any upvotes from anyone. Feeling discouraged, I said to myself, perhaps Hive is not for me, and that was how I left.

Then after about a year plus, I returned to Hive again, but this time around with no expectations to make quick money. Instead I wanted to keep myself busy and improve on my writing. I started fresh and determined to learn about the blockchain and the community and connect with people. And here I am.

THANK YOU FOR READING TO THE END πŸ€—

Your intro into hive was similar to mine. When my onboarder told me of a platform where one can earn money from writing, I was skeptical but when she made her withdrawal and showed it to me, I believed 50%. I was still skeptical as I was not really a writer. I loved to write in my diary and even formulate stories but I did that for my pleasure and not for a global audience.

But today, here I am as well. I am still learning and growing to becoming better at writing.

It’s beautiful that you had access to your account a year later. Some people would have lost their keys. You’re doing well. πŸ˜ƒ

I believe most people joining hive joined with the hopes of earning but people stay due to the love they developed for the space.
It's such a safe space for writers.

A lot of newbies came with the mindset of making quick money but discovered there is a lot more awesome stuff than making quick cash, fell in love, and stayed.

I'm glad you did not give up and that you came back.
Continue to learn and grow; in a few years to come, you will look back and smile.

I love your determination the second time you got back on Hive. Truth is, Hive is complicated if you walk alone without anyone guiding you but now, you are getting on grounds and understanding better. We all have our Hive story.

Yes, I learned that it takes time to build a following but it will eventually come and not everyone will notice you right of way. ❀️

It is hard at first before you get the hang of it all and you find your thing to write about.
I also seen many leave under the years but some came back and most I known since I got here in 2017 is still here.

To find a Great community and meeting People Who share same interests and values are amazing, and that way you can connect and learn more. Also helps to not give up when you have the love and support by everyone 😊

My posts at first was awful 😁 lol
And before I found my thing I just posted all kinds of things, but now I know who I am and what I love to share and what my passions are.

You Will get there to, just keep going and connect with others and never give up.. Thats the key.

Good luck and Thank you for sharing. Cheers 🌷
