What contributes to achieving my inner peace?
This past year, everyone has been aware of mental health and a lot of campaigns have been launched since then. Unlike before, anyone could discuss their inner struggle, consult an expert, and even rehabilitate. Back then, if this had happened, people would have easily judged that you were crazy.**
Thus, before everything got worse, it was much better to prevent it. Have that peace and detoxify the negativities. As for me living alone with my infant, here are my ways to achieve the inner peace.
Staying away from Social media. We all know how toxic it is now. People, or netizens as we are called here in my country, are easy to judge and leave nasty comments on anything they read or watch. Yes, I am not the one being bashed, but as an adult can't help but my emotions are affected.
Not only that, bashing but disturbing news makes me worried. This past month a lot of death and rape cases, even of a minor, were in the news. Upon reading, it makes me worried about my family, specifically my nieces. If only I could put a dash cam on their body so we could monitor them 24/7.
Added by how dirty politics could be here? Ahh, you won't really achieve that peace of mind.
Bonding time with my baby.
Snap this photo when I was about to change his diaper, yet he kept on rolling 😆. So I had to stop for a while.
I know fellow moms would agree that our baby's smiles could calm our hearts.
What's more, having my son by my side at the end of the day. Seeing his chubby face and witnessing how healthy he was are enough reasons to give me peaceful nights. Not really peaceful as I kept on waking up checking and feeding him.

Witnessing him reaching every milestone. This past year, I have known several friends whose toddlers are undergoing therapy (autism). As a Mom, there are times that I felt worried, too. That is why I kept on update for the possible signs. The relief I felt after observing none was on his.
Knowing I have enough stocks for his basic needs.

If you are a Mom and not breastfeeding, surely you won't have peace of mind when you are running out of milk, water and diapers. The latter you may do DIY but not for the feeding.
As for me, the big supermarket was at least 15 minutes away and going out to buy was a hustle. Yet, thankful there is a local drug store nearby that sells my son's milk. Also, they accept card payments.
Not only that, my sister-in-law was working there, so at times, I would ask her a favor. If not, I can leave Caleb for a while.
For today, his milk was still on the box, but only one pack. That could only last for three-four days. The milk container was still full, but I needed to purchase it the next day so that I wouldn't be in a rush.
Good health for all my family. The other day, one of our family members was rushed to the hospital. Her daughter informed me that the chances were 50/50. I thought we gonna lose her, but thankful the operation was successful.
Seeing positive messages in our family group chat was enough to make the day.

I totally agree staying away from social media. Theres always a bad individuals unfornately. We should spend as much time we our loved ones or those who are positive influences on us. Of course eliminate or stay away from those that cause of negativity. Don't need to be brought down by anybody.
