Mothers are indeed our life givers and greatest support and deserve to be celebrated, ever wonder why we often have Mother's Day celebrations more than once a year, even though it's officially slated for the second Sunday in May, for me I feel it's because the impact of mothers is felt all through the year, so one day isn't enough to make our mothers feel special.

I admire all mothers in the world and never fathom what burden and power they possess until I became one myself. Motherhood is not just a title, it's a continuous journey of giving love, care, and sacrifices, irrespective of the challenges we face, we still make sure to thrive so our loved ones never suffer, we are an entrance to the world and we don't just give way, we nurture and make sure our children and families are okay.

Today May 11th wasn't just another regular Sunday for me, over here we Christians go to church on Sundays, and today's Sunday service was special as the mothers in my church took the shine today in honor of all mothers, the Sunday service was dedicated to them, unlike regular Sundays, today, mothers took charge of the service right from the beginning of the service to the end, Sunday School, praise and worship session, sermon, choir ministration, etc even the drums, guitar, and other instrument were surprisingly handled by mothers, while the children, youths, and men belonged to the congregation today irrespective of the role they held in the church.

It was a fun service to see the mothers do what they know how to do best as in every turn took, they made sure to give useful advice to the church and themselves and spread so much joy that was felt by everyone present, It was a beautiful moment to see mothers stepping up to lead and serve in different capacities.

To add an extra touch of colour, all mothers were adorned with white attire, making us stand out. The service also ended in an enjoyable way as different mothers cooked different varieties of dishes that were served to everyone in the church, as we all ate to our fill.

We give so much care as mothers that oftentimes we forget ourselves but know mothers that you are loved, you are beautiful, no matter the changes your body goes through to bring forth life, as you already know, you've got power, so take your flowers today, celebrate yourself as the world also celebrates you.

I felt grateful to be part of today's service, being a mum myself, I felt seen and appreciated being in a service that values and honors mothers in such a special way.

After listening to every mother share their struggles, wins, and words of encouragement, I knew that women are the pillars that hold society and the world we live in, as everyone was born through a mother.

To all mothers out there, you are special, appreciated, and celebrated. May we continue to shine our light and spread love, as we make a difference in the world. Happy Mother's Day!
