Mastering the piano at the cost of forgetting (LOH#241)

If I could master one skill but forget one I know what skill I would want to master, that would be playing a musical instrument, specifically the piano.

Music has a way if evoking emotions, providing a universal language that transcends cultural and bring people together.i am a music lover, being able to play the piano would allow me to express myself creatively, style and connect with others in a deeper level.

The piano's would enable me to explore various musical styles from classical to jazz and even contemporary music. Research has shown that playing a musical instrument can help alleviate symptoms of anxiety, fear and depression, it also improve one's focus and enhance over all well being.

Playing the piano will allow me to communicate my thoughts and feelings In a unique and powerful way.i have always imagine being able to sit at any piano in the world and play any piece effortlessly. That ability brings with its kind of joy and freedom that even language cannot provide. I've seen people moved to tears by a piano performance and one day I wise to be the one playing that piano.

Forget one skill I already know:
If I'm to forget a skill I know hmm, that would be playing sport (volleyball).
Volleyball has been a big part of my life, being someone that also loves sports, volleyball has taught me teamwork, discipline and endurance. The Joy of a perfect shot is hard to match, but with time athletic skills fade. Injuries, again and changing priorities eventually take their toll. Music on the other hand, matures with age.

Pianists often improve with time and it is a skill that come from life experiences. It is a skill that grows as you grow emotionally, physically and intellectually. Unlike sports, music has no expiration date. A 70 years old can still sit down and play the piano as beautifully as someone in their twenties.

Giving up volleyball would certainly leave a gap, I'd miss the physicality, the team camaraderie and the game days excitement. But I also recognises that I've taken from the sport all the life lessons it had to offer.

This is what I dream also to play a musical instrument like a guitar because I love singing and I envy people who can play yukelele or guitar. It's a very nice way to chill.

A pianist, awesome. I can't argue with a musical instrument that is capable of expressing joy, sorrow and everything in between. I'd pick a violin personally but since I struggle with Parkinson's it will just be a dream.
Thanks for sharing @giftie12
