My Kind Of Spicy || Ladies Of Hive Contest #256
Have you ever imagined our foods without spices? I don't want to think about how bland our stew, vegetable soups, and jollof rice will be without some chili peppers and a few bell peppers in it. There won't even be anything called pepper soup you know.
Spices like various types of peppers, ginger, garlic 🧄, turmeric, and many others I can't remember to mention right now make our food tasty, enjoyable, and healthy.
If "spicy" should describe my personality, what type of spicy would I be?
I will say garlic 🧄. I know some people might sniff their nose reading this due to the strong smell of garlic, but hear me out, or simply ignore the smell, and let's talk about the health benefits of garlic.
A little back story:
Once upon a time, I detested the smell of garlic; I never wanted to have anything to do with that spice that has such a strong smell. Until a certain time, I was troubled by waist pain and a very stubborn infection that refused to let me be even after my continued visits to the hospital for effective treatment. I meet a friend who tells me to include garlic in my food, sit down, and watch the magic of garlic.
At first I sniffed my nose as if I could smell garlic for the mere mention of it, but one day after giving it a lot of thought, I followed my friend's advice by giving garlic a chance. After all, what other choices do I have?
I have never looked back ever since. The healing property is very effective and fast due to the presence of antibiotics. I no longer had to treat any form of infection or remember I even used to have a consistent waist pain. Sometimes I do recommend its usefulness to friends and family members, and they can attest to how helpful and healing it is, even though my body system no longer realizes on garlic to function optimaliy, you will always find some garlic in my kitchen.
How do my personality relate to garlic?
Okay, like I said, let's put the strong smell aside, as I like to always smell pleasantly. I'm a natural healer; I love to see the people around me healthy and happy 😊.
My dream profession was to become a medical doctor and help people treat their ailments until life happened and I had to choose a different course to study (Statistics) during my college years. Even at that I never stopped to do research on the common diseases that affect us and find effective ways to prevent or treat them, by natural medicinal ways or medical ways.
It's who I am naturally: healing, making sure those around me are healthy and happy, which can be said about my dearest garlic 🧄.

Wow...what a story . Ever since I discovered the beauty benefits of garlic ..I don't joke with it in my meals. The aroma is even nice to me and I love the taste of it in my stew

Garlic is a game changer, it gives a pleasant aroma to dishes especially fresh fish for barbecue

I’ve never been a fan of how garlic smells but it’s one spice I never miss in my food, plus it tastes really good too.

The story you tell us about what happened to you with garlic is interesting. Something similar happened to me in my childhood. When I became an adult, I decided to consume it consciously, and I don't regret it. I've even come to like it, and sometimes I even consume it raw for its health benefits.

I can't chew it, it's too spicy for my throat, what I do is just swallow it like a tablet and it still works perfectly.

spicing up my meals this way, I know am not just making food taste better, but am also giving my body natural medicine. It’s way healthier than processed seasonings or artificial flavors
