Stationery Madness

Good heavens. I mean, I know we do it every year, but the return to school always hits us in the "you-know-whats." We have so many children and there is just SO MUCH stationery. Thank goodness as they all progress through different grades, their requirements differ, so it's easier to see what belongs to whom, but we do have to keep secret stashes of extra pencils, pens, erasers, glues, rulers, and sharpeners as these things go missing... all... the … time...sigh...

@zakludick is such a Virgo, and thank god for that. He was so organized and all the shopping was done in just a few hours.

Between @aimeludick and I, we did all the labeling and I covered the majority of Matthew's books last night.

I hate that adhesive plastic covering stuff though... The non-adhesive stuff is also awful. You know what I just hate wrapping stuff 😂😂

I tied myself into a knot with the books and holding down bits with my toes and even using the odd cat.

At least we're through the worst of it. But it almost cost more than Christmas! In fact, I think it did!

Have you explained the rules to them if you have to replace lost pens and pencils - first thing lost, one night of doing the dishes, second thing lost, 2 nights doing the dishes, etc ? 😆

Hahaha. They already do chores. They rotate floors, dishes and laundry every week. We don't use chores as punishment. We treat looking after our home as a love language 😊😊

The new school term will start in 2 months time and I'm preparing for this too. Yes, I agree, total cost of going back to school is often more than Christmas's 😭
