Looks an awful lot like spaghetti right? Well, at least it wasn't sticky😜

I realized my knitting has become a hilarious analogy or metaphor for my life. Sometimes you have to battle through and be patient, and sometimes it's a big old mess and I need to cut my losses and try again.

Anyhoo, back to what is really important about today's post: I'm celebrating a massive milestone of making it to 50 chapters!!

I remember a long time ago in a galaxy far away, @zakludick convinced me to join the platform. As skeptical as I was and the battle I had with my own imposter syndrome regarding my writing abilities, My Mommy's Mental Health Series is really what got me on the road to blogging.

This photo was taken after my last therapy session. Jeesh it was a tough one.

I have written hundreds of blogs since, from cat butts to music, to cooking, parenthood and so much more. But it's this series that has been my baby.

It's helped me to form deep connections with so many people out there who are struggling with the human experience and even motherhood. Somehow, telling my story has been an absolute privilege. Sure, some might say I overshare, and I probably do, but it's a risk I'm willing to take if I have a chance at connecting with just one other person who has been through what I have.

My learning and healing certainly haven't been linear. Nothing about my life is, but can definitely say that; for better or worse, I am not the same person as I was when I started. This series has provided me with a safe space for cathartic writing and as mentioned above, a great opportunity to forge relationships with those who have had similar experiences.

Some books I'm preparing for my narration audition coming up as soon as I stop procrastinating :p Thanks to @jasperdick I now have the mic stand I've been needing to do this. Now I just need a foot up the proverbial butt to record and submit. submit.

If I do well. I'll be narrating for the same company I've been writing for, so at least I'm not learning totally from scratch. Plus, I have a step up with knowing my way around sound editing, so please do wish me luck.
