Cutting my hair😭😩
How do you feel after getting rid of something that has been part of you for a time that feels like forever? Am I the only one who feels the ache in my chest? I'm not talking of just a human being or a pet, I'm talking of cutting of your hair😂. Might sound funny but that's what I'm going through right now.
So I have carried my dread for almost 8 years and I cut it! I locked my hair as a birthday gift to myself in 2018 and I cut it this year.
The beginning stage and journey of my hair was not funny. Myself and the hair went through a lot, there were a lot of times I felt like just cutting it cause it was really stressing me but each time I think of the stress of plating (I hate sitting to make my hair) I give myself motivation to continue the journey and wIth time I grew to love it because it grew so wonderfully well and surprisingly really long.
From being so short to growing long to the extent where I could style it into whatever style I wanted. A lot of times I had received compliments about how long and fine my hair was and I always smiled and answered with pride. I was really feeling my hair shaaa. On few occasions, people even asked if I was interested in selling it and they were willing to buy but I really couldn't see myself cutting off my hair.
After graduation, I was beginning to joke with my friends about cutting my hair and looking for a buyer but each time I got someone, I gave them a price I knew they wouldn't agree to cause deep down I didn't want to cut it. A year after graduation, I was actually tired of the hair and without thinking twice, at about 4am in the early hours of Sunday morning I picked up my scissors and cut my hair(with tears in my eyes). It felt like a part of me was leaving me and I really felt pain. When everyone woke up and saw my hair the exclamation out of everyone's mouths was 'JESUS!' they were all shocked. I was laughing at their reactions but I was crying Inside my heart. Well I went to a salon and had a well shaped cut. I can't lie that I miss my dread everyday especially when I see dreads on people's hair but I can't deny the fact that I'm enjoying my new look and I'm enjoying the fresh air that my scalp gets😁

Oh gosh, you really cut them short. But it looks good in youuuuu. I never really give my hair the time to grow longer. I think the last time I had long hair was in college. After that I was often tempted to cut them, I do it mostly when i'm bored lol. Another thing is I want to save my hair because if its long I experienced hair loss that is so alarming.
