If I were an animal, I would be a...

If I could be an animal, I would definitely be a cat. Those who know me know that I am crazy about felines in general, from the largest, Siberian tigers, to the common cat. Of the big cats, my favorites are the snow leopard and the jaguar, but even though I love big cats, I would rather be a lucky little cat.

And I say lucky because I would be blessed to be adopted. I would like to be a Siamese or Russian Blue kitten, have a nice family, or live with a Karen or a male Karen.

There are several reasons why I identify with cats. Often, when I look at my cats, they teach me important lessons. For example, you can buy or make them the most spectacular bed in the world, and they may use it, but they are happy sleeping in cardboard boxes and enjoy them as if they were palaces. They love what is simple, practical, and functional.

As for toys, today they can go crazy over a toy mouse, and tomorrow they can walk right past it as if it weren't there, more or less. What is important today may not be important tomorrow; they don't cling to things.

They are clean and picky, they don't get along with everyone, but when they appreciate someone, they give them all their affection and therapeutic purrs. They have an elegant gait and all their movements are magical, and their moments of craziness bring laughter to those who see them.

So, without a doubt, I would like to be a pampered kitten who is given lots of cuddles, bought a spectacular scratching post to use only occasionally, and fed pate and premium cat food.

I would enjoy the company of my humans or human when they are at home, sitting next to them or on their lap while they watch TV or work at home, playing with the toys they give me or with a fishing rod to jump around a lot, sleeping next to my human and purring next to them to relax them, cleanse their energies, and free them from stress.

Now, if I were a big cat, I would like to be a snow leopard. These cats have beautiful thick gray fur with dark spots that protect them from the cold in the mountains of Central Asia. They also have cute short, rounded ears that help them retain heat and a long, furry tail that helps them maintain balance on steep, rocky terrain and acts as a blanket to keep them warm.

I like that these large felines look like stuffed animals because of their thick fur. They are undoubtedly excellent hunters that are designed for the environment in which they live, enduring low temperatures. They are true survivors that have adapted to their environment and fight to survive in a rather hostile climate without giving up. That's why I would like to be a snow leopard, if not a domestic cat.

Si yo pudiera ser un animal sin duda sería un gato, los que me conocen saben que los felinos en general son mi delirio, desde el más grande, los tigres siberianos, hasta el gato común, de los grandes felinos mis favoritos son el leopardo de las nieves y el jaguar, pero, aunque amo a los grandes felinos me inclinaría más por ser una gatita con suerte.

Y digo con suerte, contando con la bendición de ser adoptada, me gustaría ser una gatita siamesa o Azul Ruso, tener una linda familia o vivir con una Karen o un Karen macho.

Mi razón para identificarme con los gatos son varias, muchas veces al ver a mis gatos me dan grandes lecciones, por ejemplo, uno les puede comprar o elaborar la cama más espectacular del mundo, puede ser que la usen, pero son felices durmiendo en cajas de cartón y las disfrutan como si fuera un palacio, aman lo sencillo, simple, práctico y funcional.

En cuanto a juguetes, hoy pueden volverse locos con un ratón de juguete y mañana pasarle por el lado como si no estuviera allí, palabras más palabras menos. Lo que hoy es importante puede ser que mañana no, no se aferran.

Son aseados y quisquillosos, no se llevan con todos, pero cuando aprecian a alguien, les brindan todo su cariño y sus terapéuticos ronroneos, tienen un andar elegante y todos sus movimientos son mágicos, además de que sus momentos de locuras brindan risas a quienes los ven.

Así que sin duda me gustaría ser una gatita consentida a la que le dan muchos mimos, le compren un rascador espectacular para usarlo solo de vez en cuando y ser alimentada con pate y aliento premium.

Disfrutar de la compañía de mis humanos o humano cuando están en casa sentarme a su lado o en su regazo mientras ve televisión o trabaja en casa, usar los juguetes que me den o con un pescador para saltar mucho, dormir junto a mi humano y ronronear junto a él para relajarlo, limpiar sus energías y liberarlo del estrés.

Ahora si fuera un gran felino me gustaría ser un leopardo de las nieves, estos felinos, tienen un hermoso pelaje grueso de color grisáceo con manchas oscuras que les sirve para protegerse del frío en las montañas de Asia central, además cuentan con lindas orejas cortas y redondeadas que les permiten conservar calor y una larga y peluda cola que le ayuda a mantener el equilibrio en terrenos escarpados y rocosos, que actúa como colcha para abrigarse del frío.

De ese felino grande me gusta que parecen peluches por su espeso pelaje, sin duda son excelentes cazadores que están diseñados para el entorno en el que viven soportando bajas temperaturas, son unos verdaderos sobrevivientes que se han adaptado a su entorno y luchan para sobrevivir en un clima bastante hostil sin rendirse, por ello, me gustaría ser una leopardo de las nieves, de no ser una gatita casera.
