Behind The Outfits |LOH #226

Years ago, I would have gone overboard with this topic because I used to do too much whenever it came to fashion. I remember how I didnt mind going to a financial extreme to adorn myself in certain clothes just to fit in a particular class. Today, I’m just glad for growth.

The one thing I absolutely don’t do no matter what is to follow fashion trends and buy clothes. I get it that it’s exciting to just go with whatever fashion style that is trending at a moment but I don’t really do that.

I believe that when those trends fade away, it’s always hard to go back to those clothes. Most times, those clothes do not really become useful again. It’s like wearing a scary costume after Halloween, you’re definitely going to receive the stares of your life.

I also love to buy clothes of great quality. Sometimes it might not be as cheap as I expect but as far it is not exceeding my budget, I just go for them. To me, this is more like an investment.

If I’m able to get a good pair of jeans, that means in the next two years, I wouldn’t have to worry about jeans. If I’m able to get really great pair of sandals, it means they would serve me for a number of years and I wouldn’t have to think about getting a new pair for a while.

There’s no way I can talk about this topic without mentioning thrifting because it’s one of the main ways to look good without breaking the bank. There are times people ask me where I got a particular sandals from and then when I tell them they were pre loved, they don’t believe me. And I don’t blame them because they are mostly really of great quality and also pretty.

Although I’m not so much a fan of designers, there are times I just see certain items from high fashion brands and then want to have them. Knowing very well I wouldn’t want to spend so much money on probably a purse or scarf, I just find my way to the thrift store.

The best part of it? I always get something similar or even better at a really affordable price and here’s the cherry on the cake, people don’t even notice the difference. Hehe.

You and I share Same thought about following trend, I don't follow fashion trend it's not my thing.
I like to buy quality things so they can last for a long time.
I also buy thrift wears they are unique and cheap.

I totally agree! Quality over trends any day. Trends fade too fast, but good clothes last long. It’s better to invest in durable fashion than waste money chasing styles that disappear. Thanks for sharing, Do have a happy week!

Certainly buying great quality clothes is an investment, and yes, jeans can last a long time, unlike other clothes that are difficult to wear more often, good thing you have the option to shop at second hand shops, thanks for sharing your experiences,

I'm not a fan of designers too when it comes to clothing, as long as they are comfortable with good qualities at cheaper prices, I'll go for it.
You look good with the white and black outfit !LADY

I don't know what people on following trends just to fit in a particular class and at the end of the day they won't be happy. Getting thrift clothes and shoes is really nice, I also do this and people will look and think it's very costly not know it was gotten at an affordable price.
Thanks for sharing this.

You are very right, clothes that cost more are of better quality and last a lifetime.

Quite on point sis👌. To me quality over quantity any day any time. But the surprising thing is costs do not always guarantee quality especially when it has to do with trending fashion.
