Fidelity, Honesty and Gratitude – LOH Contest Week 251 / Fidelidad, Honestidad y Gratitud – concurso LOH semana 251

Hello, friends in #hive. It's with great pleasure that I'm here at your house to answer your week 251 contest.

I am a man who has built his life on three fundamental pillars (like everyone, I have many more): fidelity, honesty, and gratitude.
These aren't just pretty words, but principles that shape every decision, every gesture, every promise I make, and even every story I write.
They are the principles, the values with which I walk through this world; they are the beacon that guides me back home, where my family awaits me.

I recently wrote about fidelity. It is my armor, and it is the one that, in one way or another, encompasses other virtues such as respect, gratitude, honesty, etc.
I'm not just talking about loyalty to others, but about a steadfast fidelity to my principles, to those truths I've sworn never to betray, even if the whole world tempts me to do so. And we all know that temptations are in abundance these days.
As a writer, I've created worlds where heroes fall, where temptations corrupt, where betrayal is a powerful narrative twist. But real life is very different. Here, there are no dramatic twists that justify breaking one's word.
Being faithful to my ideals means that when my children look at me, they see someone consistent. That my wife knows that, no matter what happens, my commitment to her and to our family is unwavering. Fidelity isn't just about weathering the storms, but about building a shelter where those I love always find safety.

If fidelity is my armor, honesty would be my sword. With it, I defend and attack. There would be no fidelity if my words are empty or my actions are hidden behind lies. I've learned that the truth hurts, but it heals.
I've learned that lies, no matter how small, are cracks that eventually crumble the foundations of any relationship.
In my work, I invent realities, but in my life, I cling to transparency. Because honesty isn't just speaking my mind, but acting with integrity, even when no one is looking. I want my family and friends to know they can trust my word, that there are no shadows between us, only clarity.
I'm always true to my word.

And finally, I come to gratitude. That would be my compass, my north.
We live in a world that teaches us to desire more, to complain about what's missing, to take for granted the love we receive. That we deserve everything.
But I choose to be grateful. Every morning, every hug, every laugh shared at the table is a daily miracle. Gratitude reminds me that nothing lasts forever, that time with those I love is a gift, not a right. I write about fantastical worlds, about magic. However, there is little magic more powerful than that which exists in a "thank you" said from the heart.

These three values are not only mine; They are the legacy I want to leave behind. Because in the end, it doesn't matter how many stories I tell or how many successes I achieve: the only thing that will endure is the love I sowed, the trust I built, and the peace of knowing that, on this uncertain journey, my family was always my destiny.

Hola, amigas en #hive. Con mucho placer llego hasta su casa para responder al concurso de la semana 251.

Soy un hombre que ha construido su vida sobre tres pilares fundamentales (como todos, tengo muchos más): la fidelidad, la honestidad y la gratitud.
No son solo palabras bonitas, sino principios que moldean cada decisión, cada gesto, cada promesa que hago y hasta cada cuento que escribo.
Son los principios, los valores con los que transito por este mundo; es el faro que me guía de vuelta a casa, donde mi familia me espera.

Hace poco escribí sobre la fidelidad. Esa es mi armadura y la que, de un modo u otro, recoge en sí a otras virtudes como el respeto, la gratitud, honestidad, etc.
No hablo solo de lealtad hacia los demás, sino de una fidelidad férrea a mis principios, a esas verdades que he jurado no traicionar aunque el mundo entero me tiente a hacerlo. Y todos sabemos que tentaciones es lo que sobra hoy en día.
Como escritor, he creado mundos donde los héroes caen, donde las tentaciones corrompen, donde la traición es un giro narrativo poderoso. Pero la vida real es muy diferente. Aquí no hay giros dramáticos que justifiquen romper la palabra dada.
Ser fiel a mis ideales significa que, cuando mis niños me miran, vean a alguien coherente. Que mi esposa sepa que, pase lo que pase, mi compromiso con ella y con nuestra familia es inquebrantable. La fidelidad no es solo resistir a las tormentas, sino construir un refugio donde los que amo siempre encuentren seguridad.

Si la fidelidad es mi armadura, la honestidad sería mi espada. Con ella me defiendo y ataco. No existiría fidelidad si mis palabras están vacías o mis acciones se esconden tras mentiras. He aprendido que la verdad duele, pero cura.
He aprendido que las mentiras, por pequeñas que sean, son grietas que con el tiempo derrumban los cimientos de cualquier relación.
En mi trabajo, invento realidades, pero en mi vida, me aferro a la transparencia. Porque la honestidad no es solo decir lo que pienso, sino actuar con integridad, incluso cuando nadie mira. Quiero que mi familia y amigos sepan que pueden confiar en mi palabra, que no hay sombras entre nosotros, solo claridad.
Siempre soy fiel a mi palabra.

Y finalmente, llego a la gratitud. Esa vendría siendo mi brújula, mi norte.
Vivimos en un mundo que nos enseña a desear más, a quejarnos por lo que falta, a dar por sentado el amor que recibimos. A que nos lo merecemos todo.
Pero yo elijo agradecer. Cada mañana, cada abrazo, cada risa compartida en la mesa es un milagro cotidiano. La gratitud me recuerda que nada es eterno, que el tiempo con los que amo es un regalo, no un derecho. Escribo sobre mundos fantásticos, sobre la magia. Sin embargo, hay pocas magias más poderosas que la que existe en un "gracias" dicho de corazón.

Estos tres valores no son solo míos; son el legado que quiero dejar. Porque al final, no importa cuántas historias cuente o cuántos éxitos alcance: lo único que perdurará es el amor que sembré, la confianza que construí y la paz de saber que, en este viaje incierto, mi familia siempre fue mi destino.
