1st HPUD 🚀 This Year!

What is the first thing after celebrating the New Year and exchanging greetings? I'm a little tired from all the celebrations 😵💫 but the answer can only be HPUD.
Increasing your Hive Power is one of the best things you can do on our blockchain. By doing so, you're growing, and the entire Hive Blockchain grows. So, I convert all liquid Hive into Hive Power.
The first day of the month, or the first day of the year, in this case, has always been the day for HPUD, at least for me.
I repeat myself on the first of every month, but the importance of this routine needs to be mentioned regularly, especially to newer or, let's say, less experienced users.
Hive Power is a significant element of growth.
In fact, it's pretty simple - the more Hive Power you have, the more influence you have!
To continue, Hive Power Up Day is a great way to power up. HPUD, the 11th of this year (mine is 68th in a row), gives you that opportunity, as it does on the first of every month.
You receive certain benefits for powering up on the first day of every month, but you can power up whenever you like.

More than five years ago, @nickyhavey (kudos to him!) highlighted the numerous benefits that still hold today:
Stronger votes on content, witnesses, and proposals - although you may not see this in the first instance if you stay for a longer time and keep powering up as I have over the last few years, then you will notice the cumulative effect;

Earning more curation rewards - kinda goes with point 1, but the way it works is that if you upvote content, you will earn as well (known as curation rewards), so the more Hive Power you have, the more you can potentially earn back.

Earning "interest" by holding/staking Hive Power - maybe you didn't know this, but you will also earn HIVE passively at about 3.5% per year of what you currently have powered up, so the more HIVE you have, the more you can earn from just holding/staking!

Earn by delegating - delegating is effectively "loaning" out your HIVE Power to others, and some accounts may offer you a daily payment for doing so. If you have more to delegate, you can earn more by delegating, which helps grow your balance even more!

How to do Power Up?
It's still relatively simple in all Hive blockchain front-ends.
You need to go to your Wallet >> Power Up, enter the amount you want, and confirm the transaction via authorization services, such as Keychain or HiveSigner.

Not!
