Una manera de encontrar títulos que me acaban interesando, es mirar las listas de tops películas del año. Esta salió bien valorada, eso sumado a que es una película japonesa, me decidí a verla. Estrenada el 2023, siendo su director Wim Wenders.
One way to find titles that I end up being interested in is to look at the year's top movie lists. This one came out well rated, that added to the fact that it is a Japanese film, I decided to watch it. Released in 2023, its director is Wim Wenders.
Sinopsis: Hirayama vive una rutina todos los días. Comienza regando sus plantas, sigue con su trabajo de limpieza de baños públicos, bañarse, comer, conducir con sus canciones antiguas, etc. En el transcurso de la película veremos detalles y encuentros, que nos permitirá conocer su pasado y su posible filosofía de vida.
Synopsis: Hirayama lives a routine every day. He starts by watering his plants, continues with his job of cleaning public toilets, bathing, eating, driving with his old songs, etc. In the course of the film we will see details and encounters, which will allow us to learn about his past and his possible philosophy of life.
En el transcurso de la historia veremos una historia que toma su tiempo para avanzar, permitiéndonos contemplar la rutina de Hirayama, mientras escuchamos sus buenas canciones y apreciamos los árboles que el protagonista fotografía. Además de mostrar detalles de la ciudad de Tokio. Con el transcurso y en especial el tramo final, podemos suponer el pasado y la filosofía de vida que ha decidido seguir Hirayama.
In the course of the story we will see a story that takes its time to advance, allowing us to contemplate Hirayama's routine, while we listen to his good songs and appreciate the trees that the protagonist photographs. Se busca mostrar las pequeñas alegrías de cada día. Vivir el presente. Genera introspección en el espectador, ya que nos pregunta si no estamos siendo arrastrados por la velocidad de la modernidad.

Nos muestra que una persona alejada de las carreras de la vida, puede ser feliz pero a la vez se aleja de las personas que no comulgan con ello. Mundos diferentes. Situación agridulce por lo que pudo ser pero libre a la vez.
It shows us that a person away from the careers of life, can be happy but at the same time is distanced from the people who do not share it. Different worlds. Bittersweet situation for what could have been but free at the same time.
Buen soundtrack y fotografía, mostrando detalles de la vida en Tokyo. Muestran un poco el lado solitario de la vida en la ciudad. La actuación es correcta, el protagonista interpretado por Koji Yakusho destaca, se esfuerza bastante en la escena final.
Good soundtrack and photography, showing details of life in Tokyo. They show a bit of the lonely side of life in the city. The acting is ok, the main character played by Koji Yakusho stands out, he tries quite hard in the final scene.
Recomendable si te gustan los títulos que invocan a hacer pensar al espectador, y cuestionarte sobre si debemos tratar de disfrutar más lo simple de la vida.
Recommended if you like titles that invoke to make the viewer think, and question whether we should try to enjoy more the simple things in life.

This was my favorite movie of 2024 and it got me to watch Paris, Texas which is also from Wim Wenders which most likely will end up as the best movie (by far) that I will have watched in 2025.
