Mittlerweile ist der Conclave Arcana Pre-Sale gestartet. Ein neues Kartenset von Splinterlands mit neuen Fähigkeiten und Black Foil-Karten, Summoner heißen jetzt Archons.
Für neue Spieler wäre das jetzt wieder eine Gelegenheit einzusteigen, aber ich habe eigentlich seit Chaos Legion aufgehört, neue Set-Karten zu kaufen, da ich primär Gold-Foil-Karten auf Gold-Level gesammelt habe, diese aber pro Set immer mehrere Tausend Dollar kosten würden.
Das macht leider auf Dauer und bei fallenden SPS-Kurs (ist zuletzt aber wieder gestiegen) keinen Sinn, zumal es jedes Jahr ein-zwei neue Kartensets am Start gehen, was die alten Karten entwertet. Karteninflation.
Man wird ständig gezwungen, neue Karten zu kaufen, um weiterspielen zu können. So funktioniert nun mal die Tokenomics bei einem NFT-basierten Spiel.
In Kürze werden auch die Chaos-Legion-Karten aus Modern fallen. Denke das wird die Player-Base leider weiter schrumpfen. Da sollte Splinterlands eine Lösung parat haben, wie zwei Modern-Leagues oder so.
Aber für neue Spieler wäre es eine Gelegenheit, in das Game einzusteigen und ein, zwei Sets mitzumachen.
Was sagt ihr dazu? Werdet ihr einige Conclave Arcana Karten kaufen oder habt ihr aufgehört in neue Kartensets zu investieren? Wie wird sich das Ende der Chaos Legion in Modern auf die Player-Base auswirken?

The Conclave Arcana pre-sale has now started. A new card set from Splinterlands with new abilities and new Black Foil cards, Summoners are now called Archons.
This would be another opportunity for new players to get in, but I've actually stopped buying new set cards since Chaos Legion, as I primarily collect Gold Foil cards at Gold level, but these would cost several thousand dollars per set.
Unfortunately, this doesn't make sense in the long run and with the falling SPS price (which has risen lately), especially since there are one or two new card sets coming out every year, which devalues the old cards. Card inflation.
You are constantly forced to buy new cards in order to continue playing. That's how the tokenomics of an NFT-based game works.
Soon the Chaos Legion cards will also drop out from Modern. I think this will unfortunately further shrink the player base. Splinterlands should have a solution for that, like two Modern Leagues or something.
But it would be an opportunity for new players to get into the game and play a set or two.
What do you think? Will you be buying some Conclave Arcana cards or have you stopped investing in new card sets altogether? How will the phasing out of Chaos Legion in Modern affect the player base?
I will not buy new cards, you are never gonna recover the investment not even in years with that sps price, also I don't want to buy new cards that will be useless when they will go to wild, i don't want to pay the mafia pass to use my own cards

I will buy a few packs from the sale, mainly to just support Splinterlands itself. I got my eyes more on SPS and Chaos Legion at the moment.
I will buy in the pre sale for 2 reasons. The first one is that I accumulated some DEC over the past few months in CL cards purchased at or below burn value. I rented them out and now it is time to sell or burn them. The second is that I also bought some SPS at a much lower value than it currently goes for so that's some more profit that I can move into the new set.
Whenever new things come along, people become more interested in the game. I don't know much about this game, but my knowledge has increased after your post.
Ich verzichte darauf Packs zu kaufen. Vielleicht würde ich welche kaufen, wenn man mit GLUSD oder SCRIPT zum Gegenwert (1 USD) hätte kaufen können. Hätte man mal machen können um Fehler zu korrigieren.

It just doesn't make sense to keep dumping money into the game. Now all the Chaos becomes unusable and I don't have enough cards to play Modern once that happens. They are just trying too hard to make money which alienates players, and doesn't help out the SPS price. I think these new cards aren't going to sell very well...
It's not that appealing to me. So I might just skip the new Splinter lands card.
I think I'll buy some cards, but I might focus on the cheaper rare and common cards. I won't be as competitive to go higher than that.
