Is it safe to drink tap water at your place?

Note in the hotel room that tap water is drinkable in Budapest, Hungary

English

Is tap water drinkable where you live?

When you're traveling, you realize what a privilege it is that tap water is drinkable.

That's not the case everywhere in the world, in many countries you have to buy expensive bottled drinking water.

I'm currently in Budapest and there was a special notice in my hotel that you can drink the tap water.

What about you, can you drink tap water without hesitation? How is the water quality where you live? Do you drink tap water or do you buy mineral water in bottles?

It's safe to drink officially but in certain zones factories pollution ruined water so it's not to be trusted

It's actually often safe in places where it is not recommended, like Brazil, Cyprus, or Malta to name a few I visited recently, but it tastes poor there. Unless you filter it, but the filters are rather to purify the taste than to make it actually drinkeable.

Tap water can be used for drinking, cooking, bathing, and washing. I boil my tap water before drinking it because it may contain germs.

Yes, Tap water is actually even very good where I live as our water comes from straight from a nearby spring.

Yes, tap water is very drinkable were I live, though I prefer bottled or satchet water sometimes. On some occasions the tap runs bad water but it's drinkable most of the time.

Thankfully the tap water is drinkable where I live.
This is also usually one of the first things I look up when I'm on vacation. Saves some money and is much easier than buying water bottles the whole time.

Glücklicherweise hat Berlin eine sehr hohe Trinkwasserqualität. Wir sprudeln gerne Leitungswasser auf.

In our place, we have a filter for tap water. After the filter is in place, tap water is already safe to drink.

I have always drank tap water, I do not consume bottled water. It is true that in many places in the world this is not possible. Let's hope that this changes.

I tend to drink filtered water. I don't drink tap specifically unless I am outside. I also have bottled water, and with the fires in California, I don't feel comfortable drinking tap water right now.

Greetings .

The case of water is a bit complex; there are countries that must be very careful because of the complex treatment that is to bring some to the tap.

On the other hand there are urbanisms that have water from deep wells.

Everything lies in the treatment of water.

I think that in general it is not safe.
