Dublin at Night (Spar grocery)

In Dublin hat es auch Spar-Lebensmittelgeschäfte gegeben, wie in Österreich, aber mit liberaleren Öffnungszeiten. Diese Filiale ist zum Beispiel jeden Tag auch am Wochenende bis 22:30 geöffnet. In Österreich sperren die Geschäfte am Samstag schon um 18 Uhr zu. Was sagt ihr dazu?

There were also Spar grocery stores in Dublin, like in Austria, but with more liberal opening hours. This store, for example, is open every day until 10:30 pm, even at weekends. In Austria, the stores close at 6 pm on Saturdays. How long are groceries open at your place?

Here in southern California there are places open 24/7! I usually avoid them at night unless it's an emergency, you can run into some weird people in the middle of the night!

Near my house, there are three store with similar schedules. One of them is open from 9 AM to 9 PM, while the other two operate from 11 AM to 10:30 PM, from Monday to Sunday.

Stores closing at 6 pm is indeed quite early.
I also think that grocery stores should geneally be allowed to be open on sundays.

Until 20,30-21,00, poor employees they can't even enjoy some family time

Corner shops like that don't really exist in Estonia, and even if they do, they are so lowkey I never notice them.

But seems to be quite trendy in other european countries, especially towards the west.

In our place, local groceries closes at 9pm

It depends on the stores, but most of them close around 9pm or 10pm. Some stores are open 24/7 though.

Having stores open later definitely makes life easier, especially for people with odd work hours. Austria’s early closing times will must weekend shopping a real challenge
