Bitcoin-Volksbegehren in Österreich, um die Haltedauer für Bitcoin von einem 1 Jahr wieder einzuführen und eine nationale Bitcoin-Reserve anzulegen.

In Österreich läuft gerade die Unterstützungsphase für ein Bitcoin-Volksbegehren. In dieser Phase muss es online oder am Gemeindeamt mindestens 8,969 Unterschriften bekommen, damit es dann offiziell eingeleitet wird. Dann muss es über Hunderttausend Unterschriften sammeln, damit es vom Nationalrat behandelt wird.

Aber es gibt keine Verpflichtung, dass es umgesetzt wird, egal wie viele Unterschriften es bekommt. Das nennt man direkte Demokratie.

In der Vergangenheit haben die Volksbegehren daher kaum etwas bewirkt, aber sie erzeugen zumindest Aufmerksamkeit und politischen Druck für ein Anliegen.

Bitcoin referendum in Austria to reintroduce the one-year holding period for Bitcoin and create a national Bitcoin reserve.

The support phase for a Bitcoin referendum is currently underway in Austria. During this phase, it must receive at least 8,969 signatures online or at the municipal office in order to be officially launched. It must then collect over a hundred thousand signatures for it to be considered by the National Council.

But there is no obligation for it to be implemented, no matter how many signatures it gets. This is called direct democracy.

In the past, referenda have therefore hardly had any effect, but at least they generate attention and political pressure for a cause.

Danke für den Reminder, hab´ auch gleich ein paar andere Volksbegehren unterstützt, z.B. gegen den PropagandaRundfunkbeitrag, gegen die Bargeld-Obergrenze von 10000€ und für den Ausstieg aus der WHO!

Weil das die Regierung so festgelegt hat, warum das so ist ? einfach ne Mail an das Innenministerium senden lieber @mein-senf-dazu ...

In Canada, our Prime Minister still thinks it's the currency of terrorists until there were rumors of him making a ton of cash with it using our tax dollars. I haven't found the source of the rumor yet.

I would sign the petition, but it sucks to hear that they might not implement it. I do think it will gain more attention on the topic. So it's more likely for future politicians to use that as an issue to get voters.

Gute Iniatiative, leider sind halt Volksbegehren in Österreich völlig wertlos, da hat noch keines irgendetwas verändert.
