Simple, Quick, and Healthy Breakfast

Do you find yourself always in a hurry to prepare breakfast?

Or do you drop by Dutch Brothers or Starbucks and join the long line for coffee? It takes longer than if you made coffee at home, you know.

Well, we know that not everybody eats breakfast. Do you eat breakfast?

If you do, try this recipe for breakfast!

It is an interesting twist on just plain oatmeal. And the good thing about this recipe is that you can prepare this breakfast treat the night before. So even if you don't have 10 minutes for breakfast, you can eat it on the go. Besides that, it is healthier!

The ingredients are:

Chia seeds- Unsoaked or soaked with warm water for a minute. I soak mine.

Soaking can also enhance their texture and flavor, but it is not a requirement for enjoying the nutritional benefits of chia seeds. Source

Oats- I used quick oats with water and microwaved it on high for 2 minutes. I prefer cooked oats. You may use uncooked old-fashioned oats.

Add the Chia seeds to the oats.

Then add Greek 3/4 cup yogurt.

Next, add 2 tablespoons of peanut butter.

Then add a little sweetener. I used maple syrup. You may or may not add a sweetener. It really depends on your taste.

Mix everything together.

Dust some cocoa powder on top. This step is optional.

Finished! Breakfast is ready.

This is a simple, quick, and healthy breakfast
than just plain oatmeal with milk.

You can add berries!

Yes, mixed berries: blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, would be good!

I ate my breakfast at 7 AM, it was past 2 PM when I felt sort of hungry. I made it again today (I added bananas on top), and I am still not hungry!

Oatmeal with Peanut Butter, Chia seeds, and banana, that is, if you top it with banana.
The point is you make it high in protein by substituting milk with yogurt or cottage cheese, adding peanut butter and chia seeds.

Looks good! I mix in raw unshelled sunflower seeds with yogurt for my kids sometimes. I'll try adding in some peanut butter.

I am also one of those people who do not eat breakfast in the morning and when I wake up at 12:01, I eat only then and then eat again at night. This kind of routine is going on here because I have to work at night and I cannot open my eyes early in the morning. Similarly, you should have your favorite breakfast, it will be good for your health.

I used to do exactly this back in the day but it was with cottage cheese instead of greek yogourt, with some cinnamon too :)

YES! There are so many combinations that you can do. Cinnamon is good for you:
According to medicalnewstoday.com, it is good for weight loss, control of blood glucose, it is an anti-inflammatory and an antimicrobial, and also boosts the immune system!

I’ve never liked oatmeal, the consistency bothers me. I do however like Greek yogurt with raw honey and berries.
