Crazy Dish from My Cooking Laboratory
A new restaurant opened a couple of months ago in the vicinity of our home, in fact in the continuation of our street. There was a lot of fanfare surrounding its opening, and with crazy prices, unusual dishes, and some other things, it became a fancy place to dine, everyone wanted to visit. The first couple of weeks, we saw people standing in front of the restaurant for an hour or so, waiting for a free table.
Knowing one of the waiters there, we've been told that some people arrived, especially those self-proclaimed or maybe true (Facebook, Instagram, or similar) influencers, just to be able to post some selfies about visiting the place. 😄
To me, the most interesting part of the restaurant was the glass-enclosed kitchen, first and foremost, because they don't call it a kitchen. It's a cooking laboratory!
Holly cow!?! 😮
I told my husband, I have to see that FS (read it as "fancy" 💩)!
So, one evening while walking our dog, I took a peek from the outside. It looked to me like almost every other restaurant's kitchen, except being almost completely glass-enclosed, so any time, from the inside and outside, one may see what the chefs are doing while preparing the meals.
But, as I said, it's "not" a restaurant's kitchen, it's a cooking laboratory. 😜
OK, so be it! - Never mind!

Sometime later, when our youngest son arrived from Spain to visit us, out of curiosity, we went there to try some dishes. But, it turned out to be an unsuccessful attempt.
The thing is that they have different types of menus for different times of the day, and we arrived at some "fancy glitch" between the two.
Something like the morning meals has been sold out, while the afternoon ones the chefs didn't prepare yet, although (according to their timeline) they should have been available.
In short, we would have to wait for at least an hour to get served, and we were too hungry to wait for that cooking laboratory experiment. So, we went to another nearby restaurant, whose quality had been tested long ago and proven through the years.

However, recently, my husband and I finally ended up in that newly opened restaurant without a kitchen and with a cooking laboratory. To test the water, I ordered some fancy-named dish that turned out to be some sort of salad with a few leaves of lettuce and arugula, slices of two different types of dried salami with mozzarella cheese, and a few slices of peach.
Strange combo, but it actually tastes good.
That gave me an idea, so a couple of days later, I decided to make my own version of such salad in my own "cooking laboratory" at home. 😉
And here it is!

The Recipe for my Crazy Dish from my Cooking Laboratory
- lettuce
- arugula
- tomato
- paprika
- dried salami
- smoked bacon
- watermelon
- peach
- mozzarella cheese
- chive
- salt
- pepper
- olive oil
Try it!
It's crazy, but it's nutritive enough, and it would be a refreshing rhapsody in your mouth, especially during the hot summer months.
It looks really crazy ... and for a moment I thought that was a ball of ice cream at the top! 😁
hahaha 😁 - You know, yesterday, when I was preparing this post and looking at those photos, the same thought crossed my mind. I was thinking, "OMG, this cheese ball looks like ice cream. Someone might think it is." - And here you come! 😂
It's actually mozzarella cheese, but it really looks like ice cream. 😁
Thank you for stopping by!
Btw, how are you now when you moved to a new place? Did you recover from the crazy neighbor with the whole ZOO in the apartment?

Yeah, I have been sleeping a lot better. There are still a dog or two around barking but nothing even close to the madness I had to put up with on the previous place. 😆
Glad to hear! 👍😀

It looks delicious, I think I'll try the recipe during weekends.
Thank you for your comment and upvote!
But let me use this opportunity to teach you something.
Here, on Hive, posts (and comments) are actually active only the first six (6) days of their publishing.
It means the author of an article (or comment) would earn something from upvotes only inside those first six days. The same applies to curators - those who cast the upvote.
In this concrete case, you've upvoted my above post, which is actually a four (4) months old article. By upvoting such an old article, you didn't do anything dramatically wrong, but neither you nor I would earn something from your upvote, while at the same time, it was, unfortunately, a wasted (up)vote for you.
Why wasted upvote?
Whenever we give an upvote (assuming it's 100% upvote - what I would advise you give at least until you'll have 500 HP in your account stake), we lose 2% of our upvoting strength (power).
This means that if you start your day with 100 voting power (voting power is a different thing than Hive Power (HP)) by first giving upvote, your VP (voting power) would decrease to 98%.
The Voting Power regenerates itself by 20% within 24 hours. Therefore, it's advisable not to drain your VP below 80%.
At the same time, that means that you actually have available 10 upvotes per day when given at 100% of your strength.
The thing with the old posts and comments (7 days old or older) is that although you, as the curator (the one who gave the vote), or the author who receives it wouldn't earn anything, that vote would reduce your VP by 2% anyway. - And that's why your vote on my above post is wasted.
Therefore, to make a long story short, my advice to you is the following.
You will find at the end of every article and comment how old it is! Take a closer look, and you'll find it.
Apart from all the above, and if you are looking for a really interesting and tasteful salad, I would suggest you to try (rather than the above one) the following one that I call Spanish Salad.
You may leave a comment there, but don't upvote that recipe post, as it's 6 years old! 😉
Tnks for information, I'm a novice tnks for the enlightenment
