Mushroom, onion and gouda croques // Croques champignon, oignon et gouda [EN/FR]

Hello friends and food lovers! I hope you're all doing well today đ
This weekend, I made croques again... I admit I love them! And what I love most is that you can customize them endlessly; there are thousands of different combinations đ
And this time, it was mushroom, onion, and Gouda croques đâđ«đ§ đ§
Once again, we really enjoyed them! It's a change from the traditional ham and Emmental croque monsieur.
You could really taste the onions and mushrooms, and the combination was really interesting on the palate. The Gouda was a little less noticeable, but it still added a touch of indulgence.
It's really simple to make!
Here's the recipe for 4 mushroom, onion, and Gouda croques đ
Ingredients

- 8 slices of sandwich bread;
- 3 onions: red or white, or a mixture of both;
- 250 grams of button mushrooms;
- 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar;
- 4 slices of Gouda;
- A drizzle of olive oil;
- Salt;
- A little butter for cooking.
Preparation Steps
I started by slicing the onions into fairly thin rings:


Then, I washed and sliced ââthe mushrooms:


Next, in a pan, I added a drizzle of olive oil before adding the onions:


I let the onions cook for about 15 minutes, until they became translucent.
Then, I added 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar:

Meanwhile, I took my slices of sandwich bread and added the slices of Gouda:


And once my onion/mushroom mixture was finished heating, I garnished my croques with about 2 tablespoons each:

To do this, I melted a little butter in a pan, then added two croques and let them cook for about 5 minutes on each side:

I served the croques with salad.
We really enjoyed them! It's a surprising combination and a topping for croques, but it's definitely worth a try. đ
But for now, our favorite croques are still the pesto ones with sundried tomatoes and mozzarella!

Voici la recette pour 4 croques champignons, oignons et gouda đ
Les ingrédients

- 8 tranches de pain de mie ;
- 3 oignons : des rouges ou des blancs, ou un mélange des deux ;
- 250 grammes de champignons de Paris ;
- 2 cuillĂšres Ă soupe de vinaigre balsamique ;
- 4 tranches de gouda ;
- Un filet dâhuile dâolive ;
- Du sel ;
- Un peu de beurre pour la cuisson.
Les étapes de préparation
Jâai commencĂ© par dĂ©couper les oignons en rondelles assez fines :


Puis, jâai lavĂ© et coupĂ© les champignons :


Ensuite, dans une poĂȘle, jâai mis un filet dâhuile dâolive avant dâajouter les oignons :


Jâai laissĂ© cuire les oignons pendant environ 15 minutes, jusquâĂ ce quâils deviennent translucides.
Puis, jâai ajoutĂ© 2 cuillĂšres Ă soupe de vinaigre balsamique :

Ensuite, jâai ajoutĂ© les champignons dans la poĂȘle et je les ai laissĂ© cuire / rĂ©duire pendant environ 7 minutes :


Pendant ce temps, jâai pris mes tranches de pain de mie et jâai ajoutĂ© les tranches de gouda :


Et une fois que ma prĂ©paration oignons / champignons a fini de chauffer, jâai garni mes croques avec environ 2 cuillĂšres Ă soupe chacun :

Puis, jâai refermĂ© les croques et je suis passĂ© Ă la cuisson.
Pour cela, jâai fait fondre un peu de beurre dans une poĂȘle, puis jâai ajoutĂ© 2 croques et jâai laissĂ© cuire environ 5 minutes de chaque cĂŽtĂ© :

Jâai servi les croques avec de la salade.
On sâest vraiment rĂ©galĂ©s ! Câest surprenant comme mĂ©lange et comme garniture de croques, mais ça vaut vraiment le coup dâessayer. đ
Mais pour le moment, nos croques préférés restent ceux au pesto avec des tomates séchées et de la mozzarella !
