Homemade gnocchi with pesto sauce // Gnocchis maison sauce pesto [EN/FR]

Hello friends and food lovers! I hope you're all doing well đ
Since we harvested our potatoes, I've been looking for new potato recipes and I found a really nice one: homemade gnocchi!
Before, we sometimes ate gnocchi from the supermarket, and of course, I loved them! They were quick and crispy. But not very healthy...
And finally, they're not complicated to make and they're pretty quick, so we have no more excuses đ€Ł
Anyway, here's the recipe for 3 or 4 people đ
Ingredients

For the gnocchi:
- 500 grams of potatoes;
- 250 grams of flour;
- One egg yolk;
- Spices of your choice (I used a 4-spice mix);
- Salt and pepper;
- Butter for the second part of the cooking process.
For the sauce:
- 3 tablespoons of pesto;
- 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese;
- 10 ââcl of crĂšme fraĂźche.
Preparation steps
I started by washing the potatoes, then cutting them into large chunks:


Then, I boiled them in the Cookeo, using the "pressure cook" setting for 12 minutes. You can also cook them in a saucepan of boiling salted water for about 15 to 20 minutes.


After that, I peeled them (be careful with your fingers, it's very hot! đ€Ł):

Then, I mashed them to make a puree:

I made a hole in the middle of the puree to put the egg yolk in:

I also added half of the flour, salt, pepper, and spices:


And I mixed:

Then, I put my mixture on a cutting board and added the last of the flour:

I continued to knead the mixture and formed a ball, which I separated into several pieces:


And I rolled each piece to form a sort of sausage:

Then, I cut out pieces, trying to be as regular as possible (but that's obviously not my strong point đ€Ł):

Here's what the gnocchi look like before cooking:

Next, I boiled some water in a saucepan and added the gnocchi for a few minutes. As soon as they floated to the surface, remove them:


And to finish cooking the gnocchi, I melted some butter in a pan, then browned the gnocchi until they reached the desired color:

I also prepared a little pesto sauce to accompany the gnocchi!
In a pan, I simply added the crĂšme fraĂźche, pesto, and Parmesan cheese and stirred for a few moments before serving:

Et finalement, ce nâest pas compliquĂ© Ă faire et câest plutĂŽt rapide, donc nous nâavons plus dâexcuses đ€Ł
Bref, voici la recette pour 3 ou 4 personnes đ
Les ingrédients

Pour les gnocchis :
- 500 grammes de pommes de terre ;
- 250 grammes de farine ;
- Un jaune dâoeuf ;
- Des Ă©pices de ton choix (jâai pris un mĂ©lange 4 Ă©pices) ;
- Du sel et du poivre ;
- Du beurre pour la deuxiĂšme partie de la cuisson.
Pour la sauce :
- 3 cuillĂšres Ă soupe de pesto ;
- 2 cuillĂšres Ă soupe de parmesan ;
- 10 cl de crĂšme fraĂźche.
Les étapes de préparation
Jâai commencĂ© par laver les pommes de terre, puis je les ai coupĂ©es en gros morceaux :


Ensuite, je les ai fait cuire Ă lâeau dans le Cookeo, en mode âcuisson sous pressionâ pendant 12 minutes. Vous pouvez aussi les faire cuire dans une casserole dâeau bouillante salĂ©e pendant environ 15 Ă 20 minutes.


AprĂšs cela, je les ai Ă©pluchĂ©es (attention aux doigts, câest trĂšs chaud ! đ€Ł) :

Puis, je les ai écrasées pour en faire de la purée :

Jâai fait un trou au milieu de la purĂ©e, pour y mettre le jaune dâoeuf :

Jâai Ă©galement ajoutĂ© la moitiĂ© de la farine, du sel, du poivre et des Ă©pices :


Et jâai mĂ©langĂ© :

Ensuite, jâai mis ma prĂ©paration sur une planche Ă dĂ©couper et jâai ajoutĂ© la fin de la farine :

Jâai continuĂ© de malaxer la prĂ©paration et jâai formĂ© une boule, que jâai sĂ©parĂ©e en plusieurs morceaux :


Et jâai roulĂ© chaque morceau, pour former une sorte de boudin :

Puis, jâai dĂ©coupĂ© des morceaux en essayant dâĂȘtre la plus rĂ©guliĂšre possible (mais ce nâest pas mon fort visiblement đ€Ł) :

Voici Ă quoi ressemble les gnocchis avant la cuisson :

Ensuite, jâai fait bouillir de lâeau dans une casserole et jây ai ajoutĂ© les gnocchis pendant quelques minutes. DĂšs quâils remontent Ă la surface, il faut les enlever :


Et pour terminer la cuisson des gnocchis, jâai fait fondre du beurre dans une poĂȘle, puis jâai fait dorer les gnocchis jusquâĂ ce quâils aient la couleur que je souhaitais :

Jâai Ă©galement prĂ©parĂ© une petite sauce au pesto pour accompagner les gnocchis !
Dans une poĂȘle, jâai simplement ajoutĂ© la crĂšme fraĂźche, le pesto et le parmesan et jâai remuĂ© pendant quelques instants avant de servir :

I don't know if I'm pronouncing it right, but I say âgno-kiâ đ€Ł It's very good indeed, the taste of the potatoes is enhanced by the spices, and frying them gives them a little crunch. đ
It kinda has long process but it's worth it, it looks gooooood đ€€. Never really tried gnocchi but I want to , someday đ€€.

I've never made gnocchi before, but it looks like it takes some time. The post makes it look easy, but it has its share of complexity. Especially the kneading and stuff. The sautéing looks good. It made me hungry.
Actually, it's pretty simple to make, there are no complicated steps, even the kneading is easy, you just mix the ingredients and knead. It doesn't take that long, the longest part is probably cooking the potatoes. Thanks for your comment! đ
