Keeping it healthy for breakfast

Most important meal of the day

They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

It gets you off to a good healthy start and gets some energy in the tank for your body.

This breakfast comprised of 3 poached eggs, balsamic vinegar covered fried mushrooms and brown bread.

It was a delicious mix.

The thing with eggs is that it's got to be a runny egg.

There's a thin line between an undercooked egg and an overdone egg.

Eggs are an occasional breakfast treat. More often, I go for a mix of fresh fruits, seeds and nuts, topped with cold milk, which always hits the spot.

Occasionally I opt for neither and instead I do an intermittant fast and hold off until 1pm for my breakfast. This means that I'm giving my digestive tract and system an eighteen hour break, which for me is an excellent thing to do intermittently and I feel better after it.

Just bear in mind that intermittant fasting may not be good for everyone, so if in doubt discuss it with your doctor.

Thanks as always for stopping by everyone

Peace Out

Ya breakfast is important as you rightly say it's fuel for the day.

It's also a chance to get the day off to a healthy start.

Love eggs and toast for breakfast but have never had mushrooms with it....must give it a go as I love the mushrooms! It's 5 p.m. here, so....breakfast for supper? I think so!

Ha ha, breakfast for dinner!? Why not. I suppose breakfast is just a construct? Food is food 😁

Try sprinkling balsamic vinegar on the mushrooms before frying. Game changer!

Oh yeah, I love breakfast for dinner and usually do that once a month or so. Mushrooms are a staple in my house, but I haven't tried the balsamic on them...you can bet I will, though!

My son HATES them! I think the trick is to fry them in a hot pan so the moisture evaporates and they go kinda crispy, or that's the way I like them anyway. They go really well with bacon too, though that's not too healthy haa!
