Silent Witness of the White Iron Chair

Every time I see it, there is something interesting in my imagination about the white iron chair beside the ornamental bamboo tree. Maybe for most people, this is just an ordinary chair. But for me, it is a silent witness to many stories in this place.

The first time I saw it was about two years ago. The paint was still shiny, there was no rust eroded, and the iron seat still felt cold when touched by my skin. Now the color of the chair has faded due to being eaten by time, but the chair remains faithfully inviting anyone to rest on it without ever asking for anything in return.

In my opinion, it is indeed different from chairs in general, such as luxury chairs in cafes that can only be enjoyed by buyers, but this white iron chair never looks at the social status of people who want to use it as a seat for various purposes and stories. This chair accepts anyone with an open heart - from janitors who are taking a break, to executives who are looking for peace in between meetings, and anyone else.

The most interesting thing is, this chair seems to have its own magnet when it rains. People ran for shelter, but there were still those who dared to sit there holding umbrellas. Maybe the view of the rain is more beautiful to enjoy from this white chair, even though their pants ended up getting wet from the splashes of water.

Sometimes I wonder, if this chair could talk, how many secrets would it keep? How many tears has it witnessed? How much laughter has it heard? And how many love stories have begun or ended on it?

This white iron chair may look simple, but it teaches us about equality, loyalty, and patience. Even in this era, this chair still stands strong as a wise place for humans for simple things like observing nature, chatting without being disturbed by gadgets, or simply enjoying the afternoon breeze with loved ones.

Even though this is a park property, for me this white chair is a reflection of a useful life. That's why, every time I pass by, I always take the time to see it there!
