PSG Stuns Liverpool at Anfield: Luis Enrique’s Masterclass and Salah’s Ballon d'Or Setback
Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. One of the biggest matches of the Champions League fixtures, which was played on Tuesday night, got headlines on Wednesday on sports news channels and social media platforms. Liverpool Vs PSG was one of the big matches played that night, which got a lot of attention. This season, both teams have been in incredible form in their respective league and have two players who are doing incredibly well individually in all competitions. In Liverpool, Mohammed Salah has been amazing for the Reds and was looked to be the one to win the Ballon d’Or award this year.
While for PSG Dembele has been on incredible form this season. The Frenchman is the only player who has scored 21 goals this year in the whole of Europe's top leagues. Luis Enrique has unlocked the best out of Dembele, as we are seeing the Frenchman playing a lot as a false 9 for PSG this season. The version of Dembele is what many Barcelona fans expected from the Frenchman during his time at the club, but now he is in the best form of his career and the main star of the team.
PSG, in general, has been an incredible team this season with what Luis Enrique is doing with the team. The midfielder is just incredible to watch, and I would like to see how it works against Barcelona, but the only way that match can happen this season is if both teams meet in the Champions League final this year. Luis Enrique has always been a man of his word from his time at Barcelona. PSG lost to Liverpool at home, and when Luis Enrique was asked if he trusted his team to go to Anfield and beat Liverpool, Enrique said he was sure his team would go and win without a doubt.
Liverpool's home stadium has been looked at as a fortress for a long time no team can come and win a match in their home stadium, but it happened on Tuesday night with PSG as the French club won by penalties against the English side. Liverpool's knockout of the Champions League has just put Salah Ballon d'Or chase on a rocky level because if anyone has to win the Ballon d'Or this year, they must at least win the Champions League or finish in the final with good quality throughout the competition and others domestic competition.
PSG will be facing Aston Villa in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and if they do get past Villa who I think is brilliant by the way and shouldn't be taken likely in this competition, PSG will probably face Real Madrid in the Semifinals if they beat Arsenal and showdown in the competition if Real Madrid and PSG meet along the line. PSG are as much a favourite to win the UCL as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Luis Enrique has created an incredible team and I wish them luck for the rest of the competition. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
