The Funniest Health Advice I’ve Ever Received
Hi Hiveians, I trust your week has been great so far. This interesting topic brought a lot of memories. Growing up in an African setting has its own humorous slice, and that part of my life actually featured a lot of humor.
Growing up, I suffered a lot from malaria, and it kept reoccurring for some time. The reason for the reoccurrence is simply because I haven’t been completing my dosage, but a lot of people suggested a lot of funny things, which I actually tried.
I remember one of my aunts suggesting I take a lot of bitter leaf to solve the malaria issue back then. The funny thing is, it seemed to work for some time but later came back, and my condition was worse. Another person told me to take honey. Every suggested remedy seemed to work for a while, thankfully, I later managed to complete my dosage prescribed by the family doctor and that was how I got ‘liberated.’
I believe God works wonders but sometimes I feel he might want to use a doctor, he can use any route he pleases as an instrument of healing. I have heard people who were told to drink their urine in order to be free from some diseases whether it worked or not, I don’t know, but that really sounds awkward.
Talking about the funniest health advice I have ever received, I can’t forget the first day I heard the common cliché “laughter is the best medicine.” I laughed so much because I couldn’t process the thoughts. You mean laughter is now a pill? How will I swallow it?
As a kid I didn’t really get the gist, not until I grew up and got a better understanding that laughing is actually good for the health and your veins. Later we heard there are people who laugh so much because they are so lonely and sad. Anyways, I personally believe happiness is the goal and not really laughter.
I can understand why you didn’t complete them😂. Those drugs were crazy and one wouldn’t wanna take them when they feel fine.
😄😄 exactly!!! That was actually the reason why the malaria kept coming back. Thanks for your comment 🤗🤗🤗You're in the spirit 😄
