La superación de Erick en las calles de la ciudad - Risingstar [ES/EN]

¿Cómo es que Erick teniendo cierta fama termino en las calles? Les cuento un poco esta triste historia de esta joven promesa.

Su familia no era rica pero estaban muy bien económicamente ya que sus padres eran profesionales médicos y tenían consultorios privados además de algunos negocios de ventas de ropas y accesorios en la ciudad. Esto le permitió a Erick estudiar en colegios privados y contar con una vida bastante privilegiada en el ámbito de clase media.

Desde muy niño se interesó por la música pero fue en la adolescencia donde de verdad le puso interés con sus amigos del liceo. Cantaba música pop y a veces género urbano, era lo que estaba de moda en ese entonces. El grupito fue adquiriendo fama y se presentaban en bares de la ciudad y eventos de cumpleaños de algunas niñas que pasaban a la etapa de mujer, contar con el grupo de Erick en un evento era sinónimo de status, pero no tanto por el talento sino por la fama que tenían. Había algo oscuro tras de ellos, pues, se dice que las drogas y el descontrol eran las protagonistas al final de cada presentación, y es por esto que muchos los buscaban. La verdad es que Erick se veía cada vez más delgado y desgastado, su estado de ánimo era extraño, a veces muy activo y otras veces muy apagado, sus amigos, bueno, conocidos, no lo dejaban solo ni un momento, nunca tenía tiempo de pensar o interiorizar su situación, siempre estaba en un relajo o fiesta.

How is it that Erick, having some fame, ended up on the streets? I tell you the sad story of this promising young man.

His family was not rich but they were very well off financially since his parents were medical professionals and had private practices in addition to some clothing and accessory sales businesses in the city. This allowed Erick to study in private schools and have a fairly privileged life in the middle class.

Since he was a child he was interested in music but it was in his adolescence where he really got interested with his high school friends. He sang pop music and sometimes urban genre, it was what was fashionable at that time. The little group was gaining fame and performed in bars in the city and birthday events of some girls who were becoming women, having Erick's group in an event was synonymous with status, but not so much for the talent but for the fame they had. There was something dark behind them, as it is said that drugs and lack of control were the protagonists at the end of each presentation, and that is why many sought them out. The truth is that Erick looked thinner and thinner, his mood was strange, sometimes very active and other times very dull, his friends, well, acquaintances, did not leave him alone even for a moment, he never had time to think or internalize his situation, he was always in a relax or party.

Sus padres no mostraron interés por frenar el avance de la adicción de Erick, de hecho, poco se interesaron en ese tema y sacaron el mayor provecho mediático de las andanzas de su hijo. Erick se encontraba solo, en un problema tan grave que lo estaba acabando de adentro hacia afuera.

Un día, después de una presentación, Erick se alejó del lugar donde se encontraban, estaba muy drogado, borracho, desorientado, estuvo vagando por la ciudad, en su cabeza pensaba que nada era real y que nada tenía sentido, sentía que quería desaparecer. Así pasaron un par de días y conoció la vida callejera, ahora sus "amigos" no eran jóvenes adinerados sino personas sin hogar con respuestas a cualquier emergencia o situación, éstas personas no fueron amables con él pero tampoco fueron tan duras, lo necesario para que aprendiera a adaptarse a las calles. Erick seguía consumiendo pero no era lo mismo, ya que no contaba con dinero y cada día se trataba de sobrevivir, todo cambio de una forma radical.

Luego de un mes, se podía ver en las calles a un Erick con la misma ropa de aquella presentación, demacrado, sucio, pero vivo. A veces rapeaba en las plazas improvisando, otras veces cantaba al estilo pop algunos de sus temas, la gente le daba dinero por su talento.

His parents showed no interest in slowing down Erick's addiction, in fact, they took little interest in the issue and made the most of their son's media exposure. Erick was alone in a problem so serious that it was destroying him from the inside out.

One day, after a presentation, Erick left the place where they were, he was very drugged, drunk, disoriented, he was wandering around the city, in his head he thought that nothing was real and that nothing made sense, he felt that he wanted to disappear. A couple of days passed and he got to know the street life, now his "friends" were not wealthy young people but homeless people with answers to any emergency or situation, these people were not kind to him but they were not so hard either, just what was necessary for him to learn to adapt to the streets. Erick was still using but it was not the same, since he had no money and every day was about surviving, everything changed in a radical way.

After a month, Erick could be seen in the streets with the same clothes he had worn at that presentation, emaciated, dirty, but alive. Sometimes he rapped in the squares improvising, other times he sang in pop style some of his songs, people gave him money for his talent.

¿Cuánto tiempo estuvo Erick en las calles? no lo sé con certeza, pero fue el suficiente para que él por sus propios medios decidiera dejar las drogas y trazarse un objetivo. Erick decidió poner los pies sobre la tierra y presentarse ante una agencia musical, en principio no lo dejaron ni siquiera ingresar por el mal olor que expedía. Se esforzó, tenía todo el día y la noche a su disposición en su hogar, la calle, para hacer dinero, cantó, rapeo, vendió golosinas, alguna que otra vez incurrió a robos menores, consiguió lo suficiente para pagar un hotel ducharse y comprarse ropa nueva, se volvió a presentar a la agencia musical, y esta vez si le dejaron entrar, cuando uno de los que le atendió supo que tenía a Erick enfrente, sin dudarlo le prestó todo el apoyo y le facilitó mucho las cosas, ya que a través de él podrían sacar mucho dinero.

Fue así como Erick paso de una vida con ciertos privilegios a las calles, para luego regresar a una vida privilegiada pero con cabeza fría y cierta madurez. Hoy lo escuchamos en la cadena radial Risingstar y en las diferentes fiesta Raves cuando es invitado, no pueden faltar algunos de sus playlist y conciertos.

How long was Erick on the streets? I don't know for sure, but it was long enough for him to decide to quit drugs and set a goal for himself. Erick decided to put his feet on the ground and present himself to a music agency, at first they wouldn't even let him in because of the bad smell he was emitting. He made an effort, he had all day and night at his disposal in his home, the street, to make money, he sang, rapped, sold candy, some other times he incurred in petty theft, he got enough to pay for a hotel, take a shower and buy new clothes, he went back to the music agency, and this time they let him in, when one of those who attended him knew he had Erick in front of him, without hesitation he gave him all the support and made things much easier for him, because through him they could get a lot of money.

This is how Erick went from a life with certain privileges to the streets, to later return to a privileged life but with a cool head and a certain maturity. Today we listen to him on the Risingstar radio network and in the different Raves parties when he is invited, you can't miss some of his playlists and concerts.
