Inspecting My Peanut Farm - Peanuts Ready For Harvest😊
Inspecting My Peanut Farm - Peanuts Ready For Harvest😊
So yesterday I finally had the time to go check on my groundnut farm. I've not been closed by and that made me to handle the responsibility of checking the farm to relatives at home.
One thing is rest assured, nobody else can handle your stuff better than you do and that, I saw the reflection on my small scale peanut farm. I've asked some labourers to help weed the farm while I was away but I can't relate to how the work was done in such away there's still a lot of grasses around.
It's quite a big farm and we're preparing for harvest already. This is the season of harvesting peanuts in our zone and I'm glad I'll be among the many farmers to make a harvest this year. There was little sign of pest, basically human-pest. It's one of the common issues we face around here, people badging into your farm to take from whatever you've planted that's not there's. Sometimes they intrude with their cattles and sheep's to destroy farmers efforts on the farm without remorse with their mischievous behaviors.
I removed few of the groundnuts to check the progress and if it's actually due for harvest.
From the look of the peanuts there are matured and ready for plug. I went further to break the shell so I could have a full detail of the result.
The peanuts looks good and I'm happy with the result.
Thanks to my friend @emreal for following me to the farm.
The rain caught up with us on our way back home but we had a great time checking on the progress of the farm.
Boss a farmer i can see your farm looking nice and fantastic good harvest 👍👋💕
Thank you very much sir, it's necessary we pay attention to agriculture since we are blessed with good soil and rain..
When you finally harvest it call us for Thanksgiving oo. Great to see young men into Agriculture.
Yeah... We don't wanna be left behind this time around, we'll sure continue to do our best. Thank you for checking in sir
The pleasure is my bro, I had the privilege to visit a farm after a long period of time. The grasses were something else, seriously, no one can handle your responsibilities like you but thank God for the yield.
Wish you a bountiful harvest
Yeah Bro... Still grateful regardless Bro.
Thanks for honouring my invite boss
Yup, that's one thing about farming - either poultry or crop - only you can handle it well.
However, I think the workers did their best cause this is raining season so no matter how you weed the place, grasses will definitely germinate again within few weeks.
Yeah... They've done their part actually and the rain too. I'm grateful for the outcome however, I hope to have a great harvest soon boss. Thanks for coming around sir
Okay, don't forget to invite me next time. I'm just planting my own peanuts. Which state is the location of this farm?.
Wow.. I'm from Nasarawa State. Here we are harvesting peanuts already😃
How about you which state is thy location
Kwaraaaaa
Nasarawa Lafia very close to Abuja
Peanuts are magnificent, but the field where they are planted is very beautiful.
Yeah... We have very good and fertile soil around here for farming...
Yes, that's good
I love peanut oil please how do I get some here😉😉.
Sorry about the poor management indeed no one can care for what you love more than you.. but am the peanut glad are doing great 👍.
I which I have some space for large scale planting all I can do is greens and just few of them
Yeah.. vegetables are another beautiful plants I want to grow, just for self consumption, not necessarily commercial. I love vegetables for their great values to the body.
Maybe I can waybill some of the groundnut oil to you over there 😃
Oh really 😲 I appreciate greatly those are expensive here in Lagos. Please when do I expect 😊😊😊.
And yes my greens are for personal consumption the space isn't the much for large scale 😔
For not being present for the growing season that is a great looking field! I've seen chemically sprayed fields with more grasses. Looks great and those peanuts were nice and plump. You should feel extremely proud! My groundnuts haven't come out nearly as nice as yours. Even with me encouraging them everyday haha.
