Hello Hive.

As much as I would love to grow a garden, I am so much pleased now that my landlord has giving me the approval to grow a garden in his compound. Growing a garden is a good idea for anyone who wishes to harvest and eat fresh vegetables.

I will be planting fluted pumpkins, spinach, Jute mallow and any other needed vegetable that comes to mind.
The portion I want to use is covered in stones and grasses which means that there is a whole lot of preparation and cleaning to be done before I begin planting.

Getting fresh vegetables during the dry seasons here is usually a huge task. Since there is no sufficient amount of rainfall, hence not every farmer grows vegetables in the season.
Going to the river banks becomes one of our duties if we want to get fresh vegetables. These set of farmers are known for growing vegetables along the river bank locally Which they often use buckets to fetch water from the river to water their plants.

Growing vegetables along the river bank is usually for commercial purpose and once the vegetables are ready we visit the river bank for fresh supply.

Now that I have a space within the house it will be fair if I can grow some vegetables to save cost.
Have I ever told you that growing my own food often saved me alot of financial expenses.
We often buy only seasonings from the farm and use our monies for other expenses. If growing food saves me of so much money, growing vegetables will also reduce some financial burden of making soups.

First I have cleared all the weeds from the spot and then moved to remove all the stones forming a heap
of debri here.

This portion will be good for growing vegetables since the soil is dark loamy and you can also see some of the vegetable plants the other tenants have grown here. They did flourish well.

The landlord has giving a stern warning for me to keep this place clean even if I was going to grow a garden and I understood this implication.

Making a bed is almost completes now and the next thing to do is to go sourcing for seeds from the market.

I'm very happy 😁 for you as your landlord now understood why you wish to go into garden. Clearing and securing land for garden are the first measures to follow. The way the economy is, planting in our garden will surely contribute to our financial needs.

Wow, it's fantastic that your landlord has givеn you thе grееn light to crеatе your own gardеn. Growing your own vеgеtablеs is not only rеwarding but also a smart way to savе on еxpеnsеs. Your dеdication to prеparing thе land and rеmoving thosе stonеs and wееds shows your commitmеnt. Frеsh, homеgrown producе is not just about saving monеy; it's about thе joy of harvеsting your own mеals. Bеst of luck with your gardеning journеy! 🥦🥕🍅 @monica-ene
