A beautiful new morning to us once again, we are grateful for the privilege of life and the grace to be alive, well and healthy to witness yet another day.

Yesterday I was with our neighbors in their animal farm again where we were taking care of some birds and the rabbits. I remember mentioning how lucrative a business it can be if we engage ourselves in the task of raising animals as a crop farmer. One of the major profit of this is that we can always feed the animals to the by products of food production.

Having cited how I noticed that rabbits 🐇 love potatoes and potatoes leaves I have adviced some certain rabbit keepers on how they can grow cheap potatoes to feed their rabbits with it.
Rabbit has a good market value here just like chicken, due to the number of people that feed on rabbits, I have considered how this is a good business for anyone in food production who may decide to add animal husbandry.

Now I have just discovered more source of farm products that can be feed to rabbits. Right after picking the leaves of some vegetables we have harvested from the farm for food I realized that the rabbits can feed on the sticks from these different forms of vegetables.

We have the waterleaf plant and Jute mallow sticks here. Once you harvest these from your farm and pick the useful parts for human consumption. The left over is a sumptuous meal for these animals. They devoured every little pieces right before my eyes and it wasn't enough for them. These añimals have some good appetite that really surprised me.
It is very much cost saving to feed them to these products, it ensures that there are no wasted resources. In due time these rabbits will continue to grow and multiply and be sold at the market as needed.

My partner considered raising rabbits for meat and possibly pelts alongside our chickens but as they would need to occupy the same areas (we didn't have the room for them to have their own spaces) and our daughter and I don't really like the taste of rabbit anyway we decided against it.

Do they and the chickens eat different types of scraps?

Here a cage was built separate for the rabbits and the chickens, they all eat different kinds of scraps.
Chickens won't eat the vegetables scraps that rabbits eat.
